Re: Discounts, Coupons, and Deals

  • The only one I use regularly is the Target cartwheel app.  So fun!
  • I use mypoints.com to print coupons from (they're the ones on coupons.com).  You get points for redeeming coupons on top of the discount from the coupon.  You can also use them to click through for ordering online from most stores.  It just takes forever to accumulate points, but it's better than nothing.  They also have surveys and things you can do in order to get more points, but I don't do them anymore.

I also use ebates since theirs is cash back instead of points, Targets Cartwheel app, and Checkout 51.

  • Ebates is my favorite - but you actually have to shop in order to make money - which i really don't do all that often. But its great around christmas time or the rare times we do need to order something online.

I like BeFrugal.com.  Their cash back is usually higher than ebates, although their redemption amount is also higher ($25 to redeem at BeFrugal vs. $5 to redeem at Ebates).  That said, I check both sites.  I also check FatWallet (same idea, redemption whenever you request it).

ETA: I got my site names mixed up...

  • Ibotta, retail me not, and cartwheel are my favorites right now. Avoid snap by groupon. I have submitted 2 receipts. After 2 weeks they finally got to the first one and missed $4.50 off it. So I had to send it to customer service and we will see if I will ever get that back. Not sure if they are understaffed because they are new or what, but don't bother right now.
Brads deals is also fun for online shopping deals. We have found some great discounts and coupon codes off there.

  • My favorite couponing site is thekrazycouponlady.com. They do match ups every week for the sales and the coupons that are available. I also use target's store coupons printed from their website. These can be stacked with manufacturer coupons and the target cartwheel app. I have used checkout 51 but not that often. Another app I like is shopkick. You get kicks for walking into stores as well as for scanning certain products. The kicks are then turned in for gift cards to certain stores. It can take some time for them to add up. I have been saving mine and reached enough for $100 in gift cards a week ago. I've had the app for about a year.

  • This month I started using the Walmart app. You scan your receipt and in 72 hours it will look for sales in your area and give you the difference. Then you cash it in for a gift card for Walmart that they email to you. We do our grocery shopping there and are up to $21 already.
