Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

So excited
My husband is finally on the budget bank wagon!!! He was never good with cash and we got together I took over. Well we've paid off some debts and things are going better. We've had to make some big ticket repairs this year (new fence as the old once was falling down and with us having dogs & all the neighbors having dogs, a fence was a necessity) and now a deck (found out when going to repair the lattice work on the deck that deck wasn't built correctly & doesn't have proper supports making it a safety hazard to have people on) things have gotten rough and add on my unexpected surgary too. But he's making sacarifices to make things happen like reducing the amount of his allowance to help by down the bills for everything & finally is asking things, like, is there money left in the budget for us to go out to eat or to do xy or z. It makes it so much easier telling him no, we can't do it and not feel guilty. Plus I've found an app that I really like (goodbudget) for tracking our spending so when we are thinking of doing something, I can quickly look at the app & go, we only have $x.xx amount left in that fund to determine if we can do that thing or not. Things are still going to be rough for the next year or so while we finish paying things off, but it has gotten so much easier mentally dealing with the budget that I'm not afraid of it anymore.
