We bought our house in 2009 and still love it. It's 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and exactly how we would have built a house if we'd built it. It is on the outskirts of a large city in the PNW.

However, the school district suuuuuuucks (we weren't thinking of that at the time) and we both commute 60 miles a day. H and I both work in the same small town, with some of the best schools in the state, and it just makes sense that we'd move.
Of course, the city where we work is super suburban and perfect for families.... But not awesome for young couples with no kids.
If I get KU in a few weeks, we will list our house in January-ish and move.
If I don't get KU, then I don't know. If were to adopt, I think we'd have a better chance if we lived in the small family-ish town. But dude.... In the meantime, before kids, it'd suck.
We will see.
As for work, I work in HR and love my job. I think it'll be my forever job at my forever company. The commute is not fun (2+ hours a day) but I love everything else about it.
Basically, my life and all decisions are on hold until I figure out the baby situation.
