QOTD 10/30

The CEO of Levi jeans (if I remember correctly) said that you shouldn't wash your jeans.

Re: QOTD 10/30

  • So are you supposed to wear once and throw away?  Disposable jeans?
  • Apparently washing them wears away the fibers or something.  You are supposed to wear them without washing unless they get dirty.  Then you can spot clean.  D is against washing his jeans because he thinks that by wearing them for weeks on end, he is breaking them in and making them more comfy.  Washing them destroys that comfort.

I wash our jeans though...wearing dirty clothes grosses me out and D gets concrete all over his pants at work so they need laundering.

  • I will wear mine multiple times before washing, but I will still wash them. I don't want funky jeans. :P

  • I wash them after several wears (like i'm talking weeks worth). I wash them more now since they usually have spit up on them.

  • I will wash my jeans about once every 3-4 weeks. I have an office job and change right when I get home, so they don't ever really get dirty. I've also read that you shouldn't wash them unless they get dirty.

  • I wear them a few times before washing, H too. If you go too long between washing, they get a strange smell.
  • Now I feel like an obsessive weirdo for washing my jeans after every wear!

  • I wash every few weeks depending on how much I wear them, same with DH. Except for his work jeans, they get washed way more often because they get nasty.

  • I'm a guilty re-wearer of my work jeans. But if I notice they're stained or smell weird, I will wash them.

    This exactly.

  • I wear my 3-4 times before washing, usually. If I get something on them, sooner. After that I feel like they smell from me sweating. I always take them off as soon as I get home though. H has to wash his every time he wears them usually. He sweats a lot at work and gets dirt and concrete on them.
