I'm really enjoying it so far. I just thought it was interesting when I saw the different cover. I am about halfway through and I think the first cover fits the story better. JMHO, of course.
DH's cat died this morning He moved out of his parents' house when he was 20 but had to bring the cat back because he got really sick for the first few weeks we lived together because he wouldn't eat. He didn't handle to move well I guess. Anyway he was hit by a car this morning. DH called me when he was leaving work to go bury him. So sad.
Then on his way back to work he found a kitten on the side of the road and dropped him off at our house. We are only keeping him until we find a home for him (her? He didn't say). But I thought it was a weird coincidence. I'm sure our cats at home are pissed though.
@booknerd226 So sorry to hear that! I think new kitten was meant to be and you should keep him/her.
@CeeCeeSugaPie Aw my MIL actually grew very attached to Rascal, he would sleep with her at night, and DH and I are thinking of bringing the kitten to her house to see how she feels about keeping him/her. If not I'm sure we'll end up having another cat lol.
We picked up Halloween costumes yesterday for our party. I am so excited because they are couple costumes. Ok, so I am going to be a scarecrow. And he is going to be a man of the Night's Watch. Gold star to the person who figures out the couple part of that!

I was in line at 6:45am to get shirts for pretty much everyone. I'm a very tired, but very happy girl this morning.
As a Kansas City girl, I'm a little sad this morning. But since the Royals haven't done this well since I was 5 years old, it's hard to be too disappointed. It's been an exciting ride!

It was a terrific series! Yost is a class act. KC could not have played much better - their bullpen was rock solid! Definitely not a one-sided series. Kudos to the Royals!

There's nothing on TV, so I'm watching Aladdin that we recorded back in August. It came on the Disney Channel right after Robin Williams died. Genie is one of his best roles. This is also one of my favorite Disney movies. I used to wear it out when I had it on VHS!

I've been trying to find a copy of Alladin for my kiddo and I to watch since he passed. It's one of my all time favourites, and Genie is one of, if not my absolute favourte Disney character.

I have on a semi-Halloween costume at work today. I'm wearing a white button down shirt, the red and yellow scarf that Booney made me, and mary janes. None of it is breaking the dress code. ) If we go trick or treating with my niece and nephew, I fully intend to bring one of my wands.

So cute!!! The Mac & Cheese costume is so creative!!! I am so *not* creative when it comes to costumes... I wish that I were!
I'm also lazy/busy so I convinced the girls to pick dresses & wings out of their dress up box for halloween this year.
Mac & Cheese was my niece's idea. My sister was at a loss when she first requested it but she's nailed it in the implementation. Love the TP rolls for the macaroni. She originally wanted to be Elsa but none of the costumes she could find would fit her (they're both unusually tall for their age) so she came up with this instead. SO much more creative. I just love those girls.
