  • The day after Thanksgiving usually.  Although I'm tempted to start playing it now!  So excited for the holidays!

  • I try not to listen to it until at least closer if not after Thanksgiving. I'm partially biased against the stuff. (I was in dance classes from 4th grade until my senior year of high school. We always had these amazingly themed shows. Senior year--Christmas music. In the middle of May. I hear most Christmas music and can mentally pinpoint if it was used and for what class)

Oddly enough, I went to the office building where my allergist is located today and they were playing a cover of "Happy Christmas (War is Over)". As I was leaving, "Let it Snow" played.

  •  At the library where I work we have to wait until Remembrance Day is over before we can decorate for Christmas.   So on November 13 I am putting up Santas and listening to Carols!

  • Not until after thanksgiving. Give every holiday their spotlight! :) I did have a Christmas song in my head yesterday though.

  • Let's just say that I was disappointed when the local radio station that usually starts playing holiday music on November 1st decided not to start playing it yet. Boooooooo :-q

  • I like one holiday at a time, so the day after Thanksgiving. I hate how all holidays are so rushed now. It takes the joy out of them for me.

I get this. But I consider Thanksgiving the start of the holiday season. I decorate and celebrate it in its own right. But I definitely think it is a part of the season. I definitely am a savor the holiday person. I love Christmas the most. But I celebrate each holiday. I don't feel that listening to Christmas music early takes anything away from Thanksgiving. I definitely don't feel that it rushes the season either.

BUT I can understand where you're coming from all the same.

I consider Thanksgiving the beginning of the holiday season, especially since the Sunday after Thanksgiving usually begins Advent, but I don't like Christmas music before Thanksgiving. I do usually have my Christmas shopping finished before Thanksgiving though, so maybe I'm contradicting myself.
  • ^that was my first quote box attempt, I think I failed.
  • After Remembrance Day. Bring on November 12th

Last year I started listening the week before thanksgiving. I love christmas music! There was evening night back when I was still preggo that hubby found me in our jacuzzi tub covered in bubbles listening to christmas music....it was probably May at the time ! Christmas music is my happy place.
  • I'll start listening more frequently after Thanksgiving, but I'm always up for it here and there before then.

  • I usually start listening to it after Thanksgiving. Christmas is my favorite holiday, but I feel burnt out on the music if I start listening to it too early.

  • I started singing Christmas songs to E with the snow this weekend. Might start listening to Pandora classical Christmas soon. I freaking love Christmas music!
