Re: QOTD 11/4

  • I forgot this morning and I get home after the polls close...I feel horribly guilty.

Although, most of the time I feel like I'm just picking who is the lesser asshole out of a big group of assholes.

  • I've never voted for midterm elections. I might today. After being in NC for a week, I'm ready for it to be over with. I counted 6 political commercials in a row on time. Kinda interested how it goes.

H refuses to vote for what @ramstein1027, it makes me sad.

  • I'll vote after work.
  • Makes me sad, too @mana8503.  I used to be really, really into politics (as are most of the people in my family-my mom was the local party chair for years) but law school really jaded me.  I still vote (usually) but it doesn't mean the same thing it used to.  Maybe someday I'll get over this "blah" feeling about the process-I hope!

  • Yep - we are granted one hour of administrative leave in my office to go and vote. I plan to leave an hour early and hit the polls on my way home.

  • Going after work today. 80 bucks says H and I get lost trying to find our way to the polling place since this will be our first election since moving here.

  • I did my mail in ballot so I'm done already!!

  • Yes. Our new polling location is around the corner. We are going to walk there with O in a few minutes.
  • I'm in Canada, so this doesn't apply to me.  But for the time EVER I voted in our municipal election.  I've never been interested or educated enough in politics to vote before, but I did this year.  Our elections were last month.

  • I voted earlier this evening. I'm not going to lie and say I was terribly educated on the candidates, because I wasn't, but I knew enough about the amendments that were up and I wanted a say on them. I also wanted to say yes, I want to buy wine in my grocery store.

  • I ALWAYS vote! If you don't vote, then you don't get to have an opinion...I have lots of opinions, so I vote! People who don't vote really piss me off, people all of the world are dying (literally) to vote. We're lucky to live in a democracy and there's no excuse not to educate yourself and vote.
