Vent- Can't catch a break this month
Just need to vent. We are lucky to be in the position that we are...no debt other than our mortgage and decent savings, but seriously...we just can't catch a break this month. First I get a $400 bill for a blood test. The doctor sent the bloodwork to an out of network lab. Our insurance paid $1.98 on it. (Yes, I have spoken with the doctor...and all they did was give me attitude.) Then hubby blew a tire yesterday. It is not able to be repaired. So we have to buy new front tires and the back tires are on the end of their life, so we're just going to have them all replaced. There goes another $500. The dog was sick and needed $120 bloodwork test to see if it was the new meds they put her on or if something else is going on. (She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in July.) Needless to say, nothing much is going into savings this month. It is all being eaten up by various expenses.
I am just feeling so frustrated...it has been one thing after another this month. I am really trying hard to get money back into savings. Although we have a decent emergency savings, we are trying hard to bulk it back up after hubby was out of work for a year. DD will be starting preschool next year...so we are saving for that. We were trying to save for a trip to Disney in a few years. And then there are all our usual savings...DD college, house repairs fund, etc.
Sorry...I know it is just one month and I need to put it in perspective. But it feels like we have been bleeding money lately due to the dog's medical bills. Luckily if these new meds work, we should be in a better place with her health and won't need to commit so much money to vet bills and can get back to putting more money into savings again.
Thanks for listening...I just needed to get it out!

Re: Vent- Can't catch a break this month
Yes, we didn't spend anything on entertainment on the last few months. I have some overtime coming in my next paycheck, so that will help with some of the bills...it is just frustrating. But I suppose that is how life works!
