Happy Friday!

What are you reading? Is it for one of the challenges? Just for fun, are there any movies this season that you are planning to watch in theater?

Holy crap. I thought it was Thursday.

I'm not reading anything at the moment, but I just finished Orphan Train and enjoyed it.

    I wrote this!
  • I am just finishing up The Last Word by Lisa Lutz and I have started a reread of Outlander.  I've read the whole series only once and the show made me want to start over.

Our theatre closed down just over a year ago but there is talks of it reopening soon so the entire town is pretty excited.  We live in a fairly small town so this is big news.  I'm hoping it opens in time for Mockingjay but who knows.

  • I've got nothing that I'm currently reading.  I'm listening to the end of Vision in White again and I've just downloaded The Next Always for the commute back and forth to work.

I want to see Interstellar but I won't be able to do it for a couple of weeks yet.

  • Im readingThrone of Glass right now.

  • I am between books at the moment. I just finished Charming by Elliott James, which I liked. I will likely pick up the sequel next, Daring. I think I am around 130 for the year.

I am interested in seeing the next Hobbit movie, MJ Part 1, and Interstellar. I'd like to see some of the penguin movies, but I'll probably wait until those are free.

    It's slippery as waterweed.
  • I should finish up Blue Lily, Lily Blue this weekend.

I can't remember the last movie I saw at the theater!!! Oh wait. Yes I can. Frozen. The perils of having an almost 4 year old. :). No plans to see anything soon. I prefer watching movies from the comfort of my couch.

  • I'm reading Neil Patrick Harris:  Choose Your Own Autobiography.  He's hilarious.

#124 for year.  One more to reach my goal!

A movie in the theater??? Ha.  I have seen a total of ZERO movies at the theater since DD was born.  I don't even know what is coming out besides Mockingjay and Interstellar (which I will see at some point because, Matthew McConaughey...top of my list).  If there aren't trailers played during football games, I'm clueless.

  • I am reading Wintergirls and Forever & Always. No challenges, I decided not to do the fall challenge and I hit my yearly goal last week :)

I am hoping to see Mockingjay the weekend it comes out. My parents want to keep DD overnight that weekend so it will be date night for me and DH.

  • I'm reading Present Shock by Douglass Rushkoff. It's a non-fiction book about how everyone is obsessed with the moment and how that plays out and effects our decision making, how we behave on social media and even how we tell stories. I don't always agree with what he has to say, but it is making me think quite a bit.

I'm listening to Blue Lily, Lily Blue for a reread. I love the narrator and all of the character's voices he does so much. And love the book itself, obviously.

I just finished China Dolls by Lisa See this morning.  I had started it a week or so ago but then my Stephanie Plum book was due so I put it aside to finish that.  Once I got back into it I was completely sucked in.

I am starting Festive in Death by J.D. Robb today.

ETA: I don't plan on seeing any movies until the Avengers movie in the spring.  I did see Gone Girl a few weeks ago and liked it, although not as much as the book.

I just finished Preserving Memory: The Struggle to Create America's Holocaust Museum, by Edward T Linenthal.  Now I have to make my notes for class, but I need a little time to process it.
I've started Shopaholic to The Stars, by Sophie Kinsella.  I needed a brain break even though I have 42 more pages of reading to do for my class week after next.  Two more weeks of instruction from me, then two weeks of presentations from them, then final.  I am so ready.

Oops, forgot the movie question.  I want to see the last Hobbit film and Into the Woods.  I'd also like to see Mockingjay in theatres but I can wait if I have to.
