GTKY: Who am I?

This is harder than I thought. My name is Louise, I'm an American ex-pat living in London with my DH. We're both 25. We don't have furbabies or other babies, though we do want both eventually (I will have a hedgehog even if DH thinks I'm crazy).

We moved to London three years ago, to go to grad school (more about that in another post, I think). We're really lucky to live close to central London, on the East side. Here's the view from our flat:

I have a love/hate relationship with London. I love the city in a lot of ways, and I love the opportunities we've had here. I hate the weather, and being so far from our families. We do go home for Christmas (35 DAYS!!!) but it's missing the other things that is really hard for DH and I - family get-togethers, spending time with aging grandparents, etc.

  • Oh that view! I would never have enough of it.

Also, any time you want to switch places, I'll go live in London for you.

Nope, only for a bit. We're not even really sure how much longer, at least a year, no more than five... but that's a huge range.

  • You're so lucky to have a few years in London.  Once in a while I creep around the internet for jobs in London and D.C. Good for you for having the balls to do it.

If you're still living there next time we're there we'll have to meet :)

  • What a view! DH and I would love to live abroad someday. I'm so jealous (although I understand how frustrating it can be to be far from family).
