NaNoWriMo

I came up with a plot and characters, but just can't get into it. I wrote a blurb, but can't seem to get started on the story. What do you guys think?

Holly Andie has a plan. Everything she does adds up in the giant mathematical problem she calls life. The dean's list, plus becoming one of the top financial planners in the country, divided by hard work and no social life equals success. What she never factored into the equation, is Liam Walker.

An Australian rugby player on scholarship, Liam has just landed in the States. He's eager to experience everything this new place has to offer, including the beautiful girls. After a frustrating introduction to Holly, Liam is determined to prove to her that variables are good.

Her resolve is strong, but the spark Liam ignites in her DOES NOT COMPUTE. Will Holly give in to this rugged Aussie and his charm or will she have the will power to stick to her lifelong formula?

So, I've decided to rewrite the half novel I already had written. It's in a male's POV and I know that is not standard for romance, so I'm rewriting and hopefully finishing this story about Voodoo. (Which has been fun and scary to research in New Orleans!)

How is everyone else doing? Check in here.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

Re: NaNoWriMo

  • I have a couple talking to me right now from the Civil War.  They seem to think that I can write historical fiction after we get settled into the new place.  I think they're on crack but they're determined to be heard.

I dabbled with them a couple of years ago for a contemporary paranormal romance but they periodically seem to think that their story should be heard.  So ... we're at an impasse.
