Re: QOTD 11/13

  • About 22 hours during my bachelorette party weekend.  My friends and SIL surprised me with a trip to a fancy hotel with a spa after work.  We stayed up late watching movies and then my SIL talked for hours about school, life, work, guys, etc. I really enjoyed it but I think that was the only time we ever really connected.  We fell asleep around 4 AM and had to be up in a few hours for our spa visit.

  • On the flight back to IN from California for a mission trip when I was 14, I didn't realize it was night when we were on the plane and that I was supposed to sleep, so by the time I got home I'd been up 24 hours and was totally loopy.

  • I did a dance marathon that lasted 24 hrs, and since it started at night, I think I took a nap maybe that afternoon so I'll guess 32 hrs??

  • 75 hours. When DS was born and we were in the hospital. On the 4th day I slept 2 hours. Then was awake for another 48 until we were discharged. Darkest week of my life, we didn't have a good experience in the hospital

  • 36 ish - labor. I got up at 8 am, water broke at noon. I had her 2 pm the next day, I think we moved from recovery to our room 2 hours later. I ate and finally slept. We woke up every 2-3 hours to feed to keep her blood sugar up so we didn't have to supplement. Nurse kept telling me to sleep after I got the epi then "see you in 30 mins for vitals". Really?! Then E's heart rate went crazy so I stay up to watch that.

  • Before my California trip in August this year. I got up for work and ended up having to work late, which caused me to then be up later packing. By the time I was finished I was just like "screw it, I have to be up at 4 to go to the airport anyway, it's not worth it." I had planned on just sleeping through the flight, but it was noisy on the plane and I was wired anyway so that didn't happen. I had been up for over 36 hours by the time I got to the hotel for a nap.

  • Probably around 24-30 hours.  I used to stay up all the time when I was younger during the summer.  I would watch TV through the night and stay up through most of the next day.  Just didn't want to sleep for whatever reason.

  • Probably around 20 hours.  I can't think of a specific event that kept me up.
  • Around 24-25 hours. I know in elementary school we had a girls b-day and we wanted to stay up all night. I was one of the only ones who succeeded!
