  • No. Once I was done with the 2 day professional test a few yrs ago, no more classes!!

  • Yes. I need 175 hours of professional development every 5 years.
  • You'd think I'd had enough school what with that and the bar exam, but I have a required number of hours each year to keep my license active with the state and federal bar.  Part of it I can take on any area of law I want, and part is a required professionalism/ethics component bc lawyers be shady.

  • No! Thankfully i have a permanent certification and i dont have too!
Unfortunately they still make us sit through the professional development in faculty meetings and i just want to pull my hair out bc it never pertains to us!

  • Closest thing we have to do is yearly training to just verify that we'll treat each other with respect and not lie about test answers.

    Otherwise, no.

  • Training... So much training! At least they made a lot online. I also have to do 40 hours a year.

  • Not really, but we have to know all the new guidelines for insurance billing.
Once I'm licensed for my day care I'll have to have 16 hours of classes a year to maintain my license.

After I get licensed.  It's my plan for work once the baby is here.  I want to stay home with him the first year and the only way for us to afford that is if I do in home daycare.  I'm really excited.  I've worked at this company for 10 years!  I can't wait to be my own boss.
  • Yes, when we introduce a new system or product. I also need to maintain neonatal resuscitation and basic life support.
  • I have to do continuing Ed credits to maintain my 2 states licenses. Actually going up to Albany tomorrow for a training. My job doesn't require it though, just the state lol.
  • Yep, as a teacher we're required to do professional development. Sometimes it's in house, sometimes it's math or literacy provided by the county, sometimes it's BS we don't need but they decide to give us anyways. There's always a lot you can pay for, but I haven't gone for any of those.
