GTKY: Work
I am a bank manager. I fell into banking right out of college, never imagining it would end up as my career; now I'm a lifer. I started as a personal banker at one institution
and was there for five years. We moved from Illinois to New Mexico
six months after getting married and ended up out of bank footprint.
Four weeks later I started with my current institution. We moved to
Missouri five moths ago and luckily, I was able to transfer in my
current position. More often than not, I really enjoy what I do. As
with anything in customer service, though, it has its days. Even
though I don't make a lot of money and banking has recently gotten a bad reputation, I am proud of the work that I do. I work hard for my customers and I believe in the service we provide.
