What Are You Listening To?

I'm spending most of my week doing data entry, blargh...

So, I need some suggestions of Pandora stations you love! I'm currently listening to Today's Hits Radio and it's ok, but it is a lot of the same songs over and over again.

No Taylor Swift, please!

Re: What Are You Listening To?

  • I'm going to sound lame but Easy Listening plays a lot of good stuff.  Right now I have Bobby Darin playing, but they'll also do stuff like Credence Clearwater Revival, Glenn Miller Orchestra...it's random enough that it breaks up the boredom a bit.

  • Not a Pandora station, but I've been listening to a lot of Joshua Radin lately. It's quiet, "moment of zen" music (If you watch Ellen at all, he's the one who sang at her wedding). It's exactly what I need right now with the stress of the job search and some family stress that's been bothering me lately.

I haven't used Pandora since Apple launched Apple Radio, but I usually listen to the Ingrid Michaelson, Dave Matthew's Band, and Florence and the Machine stations on Apple Radio.

  • I like the 90s, 2000 and today's hits, Jock jams and the fray. If I'm cleaning - lady Gaga. Right now - Christmas! Don't judge.

  • @mana8503 I turned Christmas music on for one song yesterday and then felt guilty and turned it back off!  Trying so hard to make it to Friday.

  • @ramstein1027 - I had a rough night the other night and put it on to relax me. (E wouldn't nurse and I needed to relax because it was making it worse). The classical Christmas was perfect. I've been singing her Christmas songs since we got snow in NC beginning of this month. O come o come emanuel calms her down.

  • I think most of my Pandora stations are 80s and 90s. Last thing I listened to was some sort of alternative workout music station when I was at the gym last night. I don't have my headphones on me otherwise I'd be listening to something at work.

  • I put on the "instrumental Christmas" for my students yesterday because A) I meant to hit just instrumental and missed the word Christmas, but it made me happy and B) they didn't realize it was Christmas music. haha.

I like the Jar of Hearts radio (I have it tuned just where I like it) and Pop Fitness, although I think it plays a lot of the same $hit. I also 90's, 2000's, and today.

  • Thanks, everyone!

I put the easy listening station on for a while yesterday.

I also listened to 2 cellos radio for a while (if you don't know about them, seriously consider checking them out!)

I had been listening to Christmas music for a while, but it just wasn't doing it for me.

@brainybrunette - I have Florence and the Machine and DMB stations :) I might check out Apple radio, but I've invested a lot of time in my Pandora stations to get them to play stuff I like...

  • 2cellos is GREAT. Also Vitamin String Quartet. I'm a sucker for classical remixes of contemporary songs.
