an e-reader

believe it or not this girl has finally gotten herself an e-reader! my mom is giving me the kindle she bought over the summer because she never uses it...good for me:)

now where do you get all your books from? the library? do you trade and share with friends? because I'd like to do that too!

Re: an e-reader

  • I have always gotten mine from the library. I haven't bought any books yet so I'm not sure about sharing.

  • You can share with friends, but they can only borrow for 2 weeks. I have plenty to share :)

I usually end up buying them because I'm impatient. Do you have AmazonPrime? If so, they have a new thing called 'no rush shipping.' Each time you use it instead of 2 day shipping it give you $1 credit for books. I order everything from there and if I don't need it immediately I use the slower shipping (it says a week, but I think it's quicker than that) and those credits add up quickly!

I use my library sometimes, but their selection is not huge and I don't like waiting.
  • thanks @s517 I'll look into that no rush shipping!

@s517‌ do you know if that's on,y for the main account holder? J is the account holder, but I have a login too...I need to look into this! @amccul I have gotten books from Pixel of Ink and BookBub. Both have emails you can subscribe to for free and discounted books. Some aren't that great, but some have been decent especially for free

  • I just thought of something - do you need me to convert those books you were going back through emails looking for so that you can read them on your kindle?
