How old were you when you got married? DH and I were super young (21 and 24). The scary thought is we were the second to oldest age group (bro was 27 but HW was 19). All others in the past three generations were 18-21. The other scary part is only 3 of the past 18 marriages in bith families of the sibling/parent/grandparent generations had evaded divorce. . .

Re: GTKY How old were you?
I loved and am proud of all the personal, financial and professional accomplishments I was able to make before H and I met. We were both really stable and were ready to settle down. The only negative for me about getting married later is now the pressure to have children so quickly. It would be nice to have a few more years just the two of us, but I also want to have our family started and mostly complete by 35.
My parents married young, 19 and 21, but waited nearly a decade to have children. I think that having one stress at a time (first adjusting to marriage, then achieving financial success, and lastly, children) helped them have a strong marriage.
So, like everything there are pros and cons either way!
In comparison all the girls I grew up with who are my age give or take a year are married with two babies. I am wayyy behind on that one.

I was 23 and H was 24. We started when we were 15 and 16, so it doesn't seem like it was too young for us.
We just got married in May.
