I can't believe it's already Monday!
1. How MM was your weekend?
2. Any progress towards goals?
3. How was your holiday?
Re: Monday Accountability
Time flies! Of course I was working my part-time job so it didn't really feel like I was off.
1. My head is in a fog so let see what I can remember:
Thursday- $40 Mom's bday gift
Friday- $0
Saturday-$45 dinner
Sunday- $7 flowers
2. $1,000 Mortgage Principle
$200 towards flights for vacation
$106 to house down payment
3. Holiday was good, no family drama! We put up our tree and decorations Saturday night. Love it!
1. How MM was your weekend?
Really Good! I did some online Black friday shopping early in the week and totally avoided stores (I spent $150.04 at Kohl's last monday...not entierly budgeted but we can cash-flow it). Sunday I spent $12.46 at Joann's and $103 on groceries.
2. Any progress towards goals?
$750 transferred to savings...and we'll be hosting a medical student on a rotation here for a month in January...another $650 for our basement renovaton fund
3. How was your holiday?
It was nice, I wish H could have come with me. little sister drives me crazy
1. How MM was your weekend?
Ours was pretty spendy, but it was all budgeted for - we bought H a table saw on a crazy good Black Friday deal - it ended up being a couple hundred bucks less than we were planning on spending. We also bought a new laptop from Costco for Black Friday because ours is 4 years old, and we aren't convinced we will get another year out of it. My parents surprised us by giving us our Christmas gifts early - my dad came home from Home Depot on Friday morning with a miter saw for H and an air compressor/nail & staple gun set for me. H and my dad then built a new bookcase for our office, and a workbench for H in the garage. We also were (finally!) able to install baseboards in the bathroom we remodeled a couple months ago, since we had the air compressor and nail gun. It was a working holiday, but we got a lot accomplished!
2. Any progress towards goals?
Despite the Black Friday and Thanksgiving craziness this weekend, we actually managed to stay in budget. I couldn't believe it when I added it all up this morning to see how we did.
3. How was your holiday?
Very busy, but surprisingly free of family drama. H and I both got a cold (I gave it to him), but we still managed to get a lot done, and we are both in the recovery phase now, rather than the "I feel like crap" phase.
1. How MM was your weekend? Pretty good- we don't go shopping, but did take advantage of some online deals ($100). Groceries ($129), HD ($49).
2. Any progress towards goals? Not much new- our huge sewer job starts tomorrow. We put $2,500 down on a 0% for 15 months credit card and the balance ($5,700) will be due once the job is done.
3. How was your holiday? Very nice- food was great, girls were happy. I was under the weather, but it's mostly a head cold, so it was nice to lounge and relax with the family for a few days. We put up all of our christmas decorations including the tree. The girls love looking at all of the ornaments- love this time of the year with little ones.
1. How MM was your weekend?
$95 on Black Friday deals
$85 on gas for both vehicles
$50 on groceries
2. Any progress towards goals?
Put $1,500 aside into our baby/pay-off debt account. Even after cash flowing the insulation, drywall, and duct work for the remodel. Hell yeah! Hopefully we can pinch in some areas and make that happen in December as well.
3. How was your holiday?
It was great. I love seeing family and making/eating food. However, I came down with a sinus infection Thursday morning and spent the afternoon laying on the IL's couch trying to get a bit of rest. The rest of the weekend included trying to get things done, hosting Friendsgiving, and making it through baby shower #1 all while sick and exhausted. Yesterday I ended up sleeping in until 9:30 (never happens) and took 2 naps between laundry and some organizing.

1. How MM was your weekend? Good! We spent the holiday in Las Vegas, and only ended up $25 over budget. The only very small downfall was the trip to the liquor store last night trying to keep the weekend going...
2. Any progress towards goals? We put $500 in savings, an extra $170 toward my student loan, and $500 towards our big vacation in May. All of that, plus paying off our yearly United Way pledge, plus buying H a new set of tires, feels pretty good!
3. How was your holiday? It was good. Vegas was nice, but we learned it wasn't exactly our scene (our favorite parts of the trip were sitting by the pool/lobby fireplace with a book!). I lost $120, but H won enough to make-up for my loss, and our hotel was pretty awesome!!
1. How MM was your weekend? Not good, spent roughly $210 this weekend on various things including going out to eat and paying for a full year of Saturday/Sunday local paper delivery.
2. Any progress towards goals? Not this week.
3. How was your holiday? Over all, good. Got the crib and Christmas tree set-up. On Thanksgiving, my son was acting up so I didn't get to spend too much time with the other people and no seconds for me.
Not bad. H and I went black Friday shopping. We had cashed saved for ourselves. We both needed new work clothes and we found some great deals! We also shopped for the kids.
2. Any progress towards goals?
About the same. Auto insurance paid in new one lamp sum for higher discount. H commented how crappy it is for it to be due in December.
3. How was your holiday?
It was great. Lots of family time. H and I also got away for a bit thanks to my parents.
1. How MM was your weekend? Not great, I spent too much Black Friday shopping but otherwise it wasn't bad. $35 kohls, $16 walmart, $45 target, $4 starbucks, $40 old navy, $18 papa johns.
2. Any progress towards goals? Paid $450 toward my CC to work towards not paying any interest for my purchases, also trying to utilize the cash back bonus.
3. How was your holiday? Great! We had 15 people at our house on Black Friday for a late thanksgiving dinner which was great. Overall it was a great weekend.
