KitchenAid Mixer Ladies

edited December 2014 in October 2012 Weddings

Who has one?  How much do you use it?  What do you use it for?

I have one and barely use it but I saw one in such an amazing color and want it so bad.  Help me decide if its worth it.

Re: KitchenAid Mixer Ladies

  • I have a bright red one that I use several times a week. I got a bread dough hook with mine and it makes kneading bread SO easy!!  I love love love my mixer :)

    I've made bread, pizza dough, cookies, muffins, other baked goods...btw, your picture didn't load!

  • I have one and I barely use it.  It was the thing I wanted most from my registry.  I did use it last week and plan to use it more now that we have space in the new kitchen.

    I love the way a Kitchen Aid looks, so if you found a good color, put your old one on Craig's List and buy it!

    <Sorry, I'm a bad influence.>
  • I have one in plain white. I wanted it in a different colour but my mom bought it so who am I to complain. I don't use it as much as I'd like.

  • I use mine all the time. Mainly to shred chicken with the paddle. I have used it for cookies, muffins mashed potatoes, pizza dough, dinner rolls...

  • I mainly use mine for baking. A lot. But I also have a vitamix that I use for many other things. If you're alreadt not using the one you have, getting a new one doesn't make sense to me just for color. You can go on Etsy and other places and get decorative stickers and such for the one you already have to make it more your style for much cheaper.

  • @mana8503 Thanks for the idea to use the paddle to shred chicken.
  • I agree with @islandmonkey8‌ that you should check out the sticker option--I don't know if you watch The Pioneer Woman cooking show but she has decals on hers and it's so so cute.

  • We have a silver/gray one. H had wanted one for a while and my parents got us ours at an auction for cheap. Most of its usage is for baking. We've made homemade pizza dough, soft pretzels and rolls.

    I do like the chicken idea. Although it's been over a year since I've made anything that required that.

  • I have silver and I love it. I use it a few times a month. It's fantastic during any baking and even when cooking.

    I love that color, but I would never spend that much. Even at Costco, you can get one for $250 and I don't think you should pay $100 more for a color.

  • I have the blue willow color one!!! I love it and use it all the time! I even have the ice cream maker attachment kit ( which I really thought I would use more than I actually do)
