I did that this morning with
Blue Lily, Lily Blue (391 pages). I thought it was going to be longer!

I have a coworker who will not read anything longer than 300 pages.

  • Owning multiple copies of your favorite book just because they have different covers. And, with me anyway, also having one of those copies be the only one you actually read so the others stay nice and new.

Also, no one in your family can buy gifts for you because your wish list is nothing but books and they're too afraid to pick them out without you.

THIS. The urge to pee will finally reach danger levels and I will contort myself in all kinds of weird ways to get out from under a cozy blanket/kitty situation without disturbing them.

But if they're on my book I get annoyed and move them (and let's be real, keep moving them as they continue to get back on the book).

Or when you have "loaner" copies of your favorites, so that you can still force other people to read it while keeping your own copy safe!

  • When you can't leave a bookstore without buying something. ...Even though you have dozens of books at home that you haven't had a chance to read yet.

  • When you're a member of multiple libraries, all of your holds come in at once, and you have to disappear for two weeks to finish them all.

  • When your family doesn't ask you "what do you want for Christmas?" and instead asks "Which books do you want for Christmas?"
