Early GTKY: Mr. Poppies
I'm posting my GTKY a day early. I can't Nest at work, and I have no clue what time I'll be home tomorrow. Enjoy!

Oh, Mr. Poppies. How to describe him to a bunch of internet strangers? He is the only one I want by my side for the good and the bad. We met in college when I was a sophomore and he was a freshman. He lived down the hall from me, and we became fast friends. We hung out all the time and shared so much together, but there was nothing else there at the time. Everyone would say to me, "What about you and Mr. Poppies?" and I'd respond with, "Um, no. He's like my brother." We were inseparable, even when he had girlfriends. Oops.
In the spring of my senior year, during a night of intense drinking at another school, I started to get all emotional as the perpetual single girl. Mr. Poppies said, "Well, I love you," and I responded with something like, "Yeah, yeah, I love you, too." And then he got really serious and kept saying, "No, I love you." Commence freaking out. I locked myself in a bathroom at some random apartment party with a friend and had a 10-minute "GAAHHHHHH" moment. I was not sure how I felt about him. We drove back to our school the next morning in awkward silence after he claimed he didn't remember anything from the night before.
After a few months of debating with myself, a guy friend said to me, "This could be the greatest relationship you'll ever have. You won't know unless you give it a shot." Mr. Poppies and I started dating the next day. We fell into the old and boring couple pretty easily. We got married 4 years later and have been married for 4. I love him with my whole self. He makes me laugh. He lets me cry without trying to solve it right away. He listens to my student stories. He snuggles with our dogs. He puts up with my love of all things Christmas. He likes soft blankets. He likes my "cooking." He's the person I was meant to be with. I'm so glad we decided to get really terribly drunk that night and that he confessed his love for me.

After 2 years of TTC, lots of tests, and a Hysteroscopy/Laparoscopy to remove several polyps,
Clomid/IUI #1 3/14: cancelled due to surprise BFP 3/8/14.
