QOTD 12/17

If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?

  • I'd say: Save yourself for your husband or you'll regret it forever.

  • Stop stressing, everything works itself out!

  • I'd say: Don't waste your time staying with someone that you know isn't right for you just because you feel bad for breaking up with them.

  • I'm with Mana...

I'd tell myself everything happens for a reason, trust that the universe will always give you what you need when you need it.

  • I don't think I'd give myself advice about anything.  I feel like everything that happened to me and my reactions to it all shaped me into who I am now.

  • I agree with catwine but if I could go back I would tell myself to be closer with my mom you don't realize how much you will miss them when they are gone (especially when your a teenager and are in that stage of wanting nothing to do with your parents and then they are gone before you even grow out of that stage!)( my mom passed away 2 weeks after I graduated high school)
  • Just to relax more and take more chances.  I worked at the same company I hated for 10 years because it was safe.  I stress out a lot about money.  If I have to take money out of a savings account for any reason I feel like a failure and have anxiety about it.  I feel like taking out a small amount is going to lead to me not having any money.
  • I'd have to go with what @minionlover said.

  • I can honestly say (for the most part) that I have no regrets with where my life has led.

If anything...my advice for my past self would be to make sure I knew what I wanted out of my degree in college. I'm happy with what I majored in, but I wish I had done more research as to different types of career options or even graduate school.

  • I regret being a hermit in my early 20s. I worked and came home and did nothing else. It wasn't until I decided one day that I was sick of the life I had and picked up and moved to DC.

I wish I would have been more involved in hobbies. I wish I would have been more involved in the community where I lived.

  • I would have told myself that things would get better and to stay at my old school. The grass isn't greener in other places.

Also, I would have tried to date H sooner. I wasted so much time dating losers who wasted my time.
