  I'm thankful for Jeff. He's really stepped up since I went back to work. He did so much yesterday, but mainly, getting the monitor set up for E to start sleeping in the crib. She kept waking up when he went to work (10-11pm) so it was time. I was just going to use our monitor for sound, but he put it on the wall so I could see her. AND remembered her humidifier... which I forgot about. Made the transition easier on me.

  I'm thankful D is switching departments at work again.  Last spring he was moved to do concrete testing which meant he got to be outside all day (and he loves being outside).  The department slowed down late fall so they transferred him back to his old department and he has been miserable ever since. He was just notified this week that they want him back in testings in the new year!

  So all week I've been feeling so down about what I do for a living.  The debt, the boredom, the lack of passion, it was just getting to me.  

  
  

  Then yesterday afternoon, that magazine issue came out with me in it (I'm in the same magazine as Patricia Cornwell!) AND my boss came by and told me she was giving me a huge bonus and that she wants me to stay a long time.  

  
  I just feel really re-energized and appreciated and like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be for now.

  I'm thankful that this is the last full work week. And I'm also thankful that my boss wasn't super irked that i had a ton of overtime from last week.

  I'm super thankful for my sons daycare teachers! Today was his holiday party that H and I went to. Below is a picture of what they had him make for us. They had us bring in a nice outfit one day and they printed & framed an 8x10 picture, thumbprint snowmen ornament, salt dough mistle"toes" and a handprint wreath painted on fabric! I Truly appreciate everything they do with him!
