We're back. We had a great few days in NYC, saw everything we wanted to see, and had some great meals and fabulous weather! I don't think I would visit NYC at Christmas again; it was SO busy. I think I would go a couple weeks before and see all the same things!
Here's a little overview of our itinerary:
We arrived December 23rd, wandered around Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Centre,Central Park,Columbus Circle and went for dinner in Harlem.
On the 24th we went to Christmas markets at Grand Central, Bryant Park, Union Square Park. We also went to Macy's and stopped into a pub called The Ginger Man (DH is a ginger, so he bought a shirt).
On the 25th we wandered through Central Park for a couple hours in the morning. This was my one "must do". Central Park is my favourite spot in NYC. After that we saw the Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular, which really was fantastic. We went to Chinatown for dinner and then visited the Empire State building.
I just put 140+ pictures on FB, but I won't do that to you here. I'll just post a few favourites below.
Sleeping Beauty in a window at Saks...
The "blue" window at Bergdorf Goodman...
DH and I...
Amazing lighting and clouds at 30 Rock...
The skating rink at Central Park...
