Happy Friday!

Happy new year! What are you reading? Is it for one of the challenges? Just for fun, are there any books you are waiting for to be published in 2015?

The Wilderness of Ruin: A Tale of Madness, Boston's Great Fire, and the Hunt for America's Youngest Serial Killer by Roseanne Montillo.  It is a win from Goodreads

    also

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart.  I am not quite getting the buzz on this one yet.  I am about halfway through and I am not loving it.

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

  • I am still reading Revenant by Larissa Ione. It has been okay so far. It will be first for the year!

While I hope Winds of Winter and Doors of Stone will be published, I am looking forward to The Heir by Kiera Cass, Shadow Scale, which is the sequel to Seraphina, Shards of Hope in Psy-Changeling, Grave Visions in Alex Craft, and I hope the next novels in Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson and Harry Dresden.

  • I'm listening to Most Talkative - Andy Cohen which I really like thus far.  I'm reading Good to Great by Jim Collins for work.  I also am about halfway through The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.  I honestly like all of the books I'm reading for the first time in a while. Books 1, 2, and 3 for the year!

  • I'm reading The Martian and Slow Heat in Heaven by Sandra Brown. Both are great!

  • I'm reading a biography on David Bowie that I won on GR. It's pretty awful, but I feel obligated to finish since I won it. It's so salacious, and she makes so many assumptions it's ridiculous. I've decided to pretend it's about a fictional character called David Bowie that is loosely based on the real person and this way I can power through it. Seriously, though. It's bad.

  • I just finished Envy by Sandra Brown and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm not sure what to read next. I'm thinking Make You Remember by Macy Beckett.
