  • I am currently reading I am Having So Much Fun Here Without You by Courtney Maum.  It is quite boring.

I have also just barely started Elizabeth I by Margaret George

I give up.  I've had no time for reading lately.  I suck.

    As far as alcohol:

    It's slippery as waterweed.
  • I'm very slowly reading The Martian by Andy Weir and listening to Biting Cold by Chloe Neill. I like them both so far, so hopefully I can make some progress this weekend. I love wine, mostly red, and vodka. I like most types of beer, nothing too hoppy like IPAs though. I normally don't have an issue finding a beverage to enjoy.

  • I'm reading Shadowfever, it is #4 for the year, it's a reread so of course I love.

I'm also listening to Prince of Fools, it is #5, it's okay so far.

  • I'm still meandering through The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd. I started Inspire by Cora Carmack last night, but I wasn't really feeling it. I'll keep at it though.

I am more of a beer girl. My favorite lately is Shocktop Honeycrisp Apple Wheat. I've not been known to turn down a margarita either though.

  • I just started The Martian, and set aside The Retibution of Mara Dyer. I really need to finish that series, but ugh!

As far as alcohol, the anwer is simple: All the booze!

  • I'm reading blood Magick by NR and listening to madame tussaud by Michelle moran until my new credits show in my audible account.

I have no clue what numbers these are. 5 or 6, I think?

As for alcohol, I did love a good bailey's on the rocks. Or a glass of wine from my favorite winery in PA. But I can't drink anymore due to one of my medications so ...

I'm listening to Rooms by Lauren Oliver.  It's OK.  #3

I'm reading 11/22/63 and OMG, I'm loving it.  I'm still near the beginning at 17% and it's killing me that I can't read faster than I am. I think it would probably be awesome on audio, but neither of my libraries have it. #4

I like most booze, but I'm a beer lover.  I love most porters and stouts.

  • I'm about to start either The Last Camellia by Sarah Jio or Letters from Home by Kristina McMorris. I've been looking forward to both so I just need to pick.

I usually order beer when we go out, or a margarita.

At home I make my own cocktails, which are my favorite. I add either rum or vodka, cranberry juice, and a can of sierra mist  to a big Tervis cup, and then add a bunch of frozen tropical fruit to keep it cold without watering it down. Plus the flavor changes as the fruit thaws. It has fruit so it's healthy right?

  • Hold Tight by Harlan Coben. It is good so far but I am only about 25% into it. So far I am liking it better than the first book I read by the same author. I will also probably start Scarlet by Marissa Meyer sometime today or this weekend. Both are for WBC.

Lately I usually drink white wine if anything. I am not a big drinker anymore. I used to love amaretto sours but I haven't had one in a couple years.

  • I'm reading Make You Remember & Yes Please.

What I drink depends on the occasion. I'm a Guinness girl for everyday, love my vodka water when I'm going to be drinking a lot, a glass of nice red if I'm out for dinner, and my summer patio drink is a Singapore Sling.

  • I'm reading Someone Else's Love Story by Joshilyn Jackson. So far so good. It's only number 2 this year.

As for cocktails, I love Aperol Spritzers. And also anything with booze in it.

Vellichor: The strange wistfulness of used bookstores
  • I'm reading You'd be So Pretty If... by Dara Chadwick and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Both are good so far.  They are #2 and #3 for the year.

I'm not a huge drinker so I usually just stick with beer.

  • I am about a paragraph into A Spear of Summer Grass by Deanna Raybourn. I think it is around 5 for the year. It was a great first paragraph.

My favorite cocktail is a vodka cranberry but, like a lot of other NBC gals, I also enjoy most of the spectrum.

  • I'm reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I'm listening to Siege and Storm (Grisha #2). Numbers 2&3 for the year.

I'm mostly a beer drinker. But, I do enjoy a good gin and tonic once and a while.

  • I just started Dead of Winter by Kresley Cole (#3 of the Arcana Chronicles) and excited for it to heat up. I've also got Bad Feminist going and really really enjoy Roxanne Gay's musings so far.

I'm listening to Off to Be the Wizard by Scott Meyer, but I may DNF. It's way to easy to choose a podcast or RWA conference recording or anything on the radio over this. I feel like it's something I should like, and I do find some of the lines clever, but I'm just not into the story overall.

Wine is my alcohol of choice, but I love Licor 43 and Fanta orange, a throwback to my study abroad days.

  • I am reading A Dance With Dragons and The Job

My favorite drink is probably Vodka, 7up and cranberry juice.

This is similar to what I posted! Try adding the frozen fruit. It makes me feel fancy and it makes the flavor change lol.

  • I'm reading Mademoiselle Chanel by C.W. Gortner. It's an ARE that I won from Goodreads and unlike the Bowie bio I also recently won, I really like this. Gortner tells a good story. It comes out in March if anyone is interested. It's a historical fiction novel about the live of Coco Chanel. I think it would appeal to people who aren't interested in fashion, too. She's a strong and confident woman and that's the core of the story.

I love a vanilla vodka with cranberry. Noms. But I try lots of different things.

  • I have about 10 pages left in The Sixth Extinction- it's excellent but depressing as all hell.  I plan on starting Yes, Please by Amy Poehler next to liven things back up.

I'm listening to Die Again, the latest Rizolli and Isles book and it's really good.

I'm a wine girl- don't care what kind, just make it a really big glass!
