Friday!

How was everyones first full week of the new year? Any plans for the weekend?

For us the week started with dh's grandma being taken to the hospital. She was having a hard time swallowing. They started her on chemo Wednesday and she went home yesterday. I think she will be getting chemo every week for at least a month. The doctor said she has an 80% chance of chemo and surgery being successful.

The week went by so fast even though dh went back to work. I have to get used to being alone with Abby until between 7&8 at night again. I wish he could get home earlier.

I finally stoped giving Abby milk overnight, cold turkey. It is going ok. She has 2 more canine teeth cutting through so I'm not sure if she's waking up because of the teeth or lack of milk.

I'm rambling... sorry. I could go on and on.

Re: Friday!

  • Traveling was terrible this week. Every flight I was in was delayed. The hotel I stayed at was disgusting. I am so happy you last trip until after I have this baby is next week.

D's dad ended up in the hospital yesterday. They thought he had a stroke but now they are saying he had amnesia. I hope he's ok. It's hard to know when he never says what's really going on.
  • I hope family members get well soon!!

I am home all weekend resting.  The house is disgusting and so I am attempting to clean!
  • I woke up Friday morning with a terrible cold.

I went to a coaches clinic today, and tomorrow I am going to the farm show, which is a state fair without the rides, plus amazing food.

I hope everyone's families are better!

  • I also hope all families are healing and/or getting better. Not many plans this weekend. My grandparents may be coming by tomorrow and taking us to lunch. Will probably depend on the weather.

Lily has not been going to sleep until 10-10:30 all week. Today she took a 3 hour nap and I finally got her to sleep at 11:15. Seriously considering skipping naptime tomorrow to get her to bed earlier. (I'm not ready for naptime to be over!)

  • I'm thinking of everyone with sick family members and hoping they get well soon.

This has been Abby lately too. I have thought about skipping a nap for her too, but am worried she'll be horrible at bedtime since she'll be overtired. Let me know how it goes with Lily.

  • The few times we have skipped naptime it hasn't been from lack of me trying to put her down. And usually by 6:00 pm she is getting pretty cranky.

But I'm willing to try it today. She slept until 9:00 am. So if we skip naptime I'm hoping to have her in bed between 7-8.

  • Abby woke up at 10 and I'm giving her a nap now. She has a cold and coughed until she threw up after I put her to bed last night. She didn't settle down until almost midnight and fell asleep a little later. Once this cold goes away I'll try to reset her clock.

Bedtime between 7 and 8 sounds wonderful. Good luck!

  • Thanks. Usually her bed time is between 8-9. But with no nap I could see 7:30 being bedtime tonight. I won't be far behind her.
