I know everyone gave it bad ratings, but by about 80% I didn't think it was that bad.  I didn't love it, but I would have given it 3 stars.  The last 20%? WTF. I honestly stopped following who killed who, who was whose sister. poor defunct family that has no respect for anything or anyone.  What the hell was the point of Vivian/Katie?  I didn't hate Alice until the end, but for obvious reasons, I feel no pity for her.  Not one bit.  The only thing I'm happy about is that the house will blow to smithereens.

I really like Lauren Oliver's YA stuff.  I adored Before I Fall.  But this one is a flat out flop. I'm not sure why it has the rating it does on GR.

    And why was it such a secret that Sandra killed herself?  It felt like it was something that was supposed to shock us, but I just thought, "we didn't know that already?"

    I took this one off my TBR list after @packfan20's review and after Panic was a flop as well. It really bums me out because I loved her other books. Trying not to get my hopes up again about Vanishing Girls.
