Re: QOTD 1/19

  • Yes. I have to. Though, yesterday, when everything was a sheet of ice, we didn't leave the house. But we didn't need to either.

  • We try to avoid it if possible, though the weather is rarely bad enough here to worry about that.

  • Yep, I trust myself to drive in the snow more than I trust H. I guess that's what happens when you grow up in the frigid great lakes area.

  • I really try to avoid it, to the point that I'll leave my car and take the bus to work if it's bad out. But if I don't really have a choice, I will.

  • I do. Granted there isn't much in the way of "bad weather" here, there are a ton of "bad drivers" who don't know how to drive when it's spitting out.

  • Unfortunately yes. I know last night was horrendous for us to get back from being out of town. H had to switch me because he was afraid I'd have a panic attack.

  • Yes I do.  But only if needed, and since I work 5 mins away from home I can't really blame the weather for keeping me home since everyone else lives in the area too.    I hate driving in bad weather though, especially at night.  I have severe night blindness!

  • I try to avoid, but if I have to go out I can. I totally a car in the ice 6 years ago. Bad weather gave me anxiety but I've finally gotten pass it. Have a 4wd/awd helps.

  • I don't enjoy it, but I will. Now last year we had an unexpected snowstorm so there was no salt on the roads, and they were covered. Cars couldn't make it up hills and were in ditches everywhere. 4WD isn't that common down here since we don't get snow that often. I mean, neighborhoods were essentially shut down for 2 days because we've got such big hills. I had a co-workers husband take me home in his truck.

  • I do, but I don't like it.  I'm not the kind of person who will go out in a snowstorm as soon as the roads are clear, but I will go out eventually.  I have a car with 4WD for a reason.  The most I will drive in bad weather is home from work when the weather gets bad during the work day.
  • I avoid it if I can. I've been super grateful to not have to drive much this winter.
  • I do but not often.  I did on Sunday night after the football game in our new car which was even more nerve-racking.  I think the roads were wet but I couldn't tell and the temp was hovering around 33.
