Babywearing?

Does any one here do this? Any insight? I wasn't too interested in learning about it with T but with Number 2, it's look more appealing to me. It would be nice to be able to get stuff done or just to be able to take care of the baby while chasing T around. This post makes no sense but I think you all get where I'm going with it LOL

Re: Babywearing?

  • I did it! not a ton because Bear was chill so I was able to put him down and do stuff, but I like wearing him when we're in large crowds, at the IL's, shopping...on a hike.

I have the Beco for those occasions and love it.

I also have the K'tan which was nice when he was really small, but I don't wear that anymore. I would load him into it when we went grocery shopping.

  • I have a moby that's brand new that I had with M. He hated it, but I think it's partially due to me not knowing what the hell I was doing. You can have it if you want lol.

  • My sister wore G all the time.  She used to get super fussy in the stroller and would only calm down once she was "put on."

    And that's all I got.
  • My cousin gave me her moby, and I YouTube how. E was never a fan. You can borrow it if you want to see if it's worth buying one.

  • Thanks ladies! I'd love to borrow one before taking the plunge and buying one. I borrowed Bjorn for T but I used it maybe 3 times so I'm really glad I didn't drop $80 on my own. He was never a huge fan and he was also such a good baby so I could put him in the swing or bouncer to get stuff done but there's no guarantee Baby #2 will be as good and I'll also be outnumbered so I want to explore my options.

  • Yea, my cw gave me her bjorn too. E likes to look around too much for it. I haven't tried since she's bigger and can see over it now. We don't go any where, maybe this summer we will try the bjorn again.

  • I've heard that the bjorn isn't good for their legs, like it puts their hips at the wrong angle or something.

He tried to track down if it's true that carriers causes hip dysplasia. NOTE: you can adjust the bjorn so the babies legs are wider so they aren't dangling.

Seems like this is a myth coming from the wrap-users. The article they always site is about spinal position, nothing about hips. Just blogs asking "would you like to be like this", no scientific studies etc. If you're worried about it then also worry about jumpers, swaddling and walkers.

  • I wore both girls. With L I used  a simple ring-sling, but with C I used the Moby and she loved it. It was the ONLY way I could handle having 2 little ones!
