PSA: Amazon Prime

If anyone is thinking about taking the Amazon Prime plunge for the first time, it is apparently going to be on sale for $72 for new members this Saturday.  Go nuts!

Re: PSA: Amazon Prime

  • Of course it is.  I just got charged the $99 for signing up last month.  Boooo.

There's a good chance they may honor the $72 if you call them.

We let ours expire...  I wonder if we qualify for the $72 price?
    Worth a shot!

Yeah give them a call and see.  I had to call a couple weeks ago because a pair of shoes I ordered never showed up, and they extended my prime membership for a month for free "because of my trouble."  Then they refunded me the money for the shoes so I could order them again.

Amazon customer service is usually really good.

  • I love Prime. I hardly shop anywhere else. And, I just went on a movie binge that Prime helped with - Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook, etc.). Such great stories!
  • I just called and they said that the system would be able to tell that we are current customers and wouldn't honor the $72. Bummer. If anyone else is able to let me know!

Have you used your membership?  Two of my coworkers got the trial and forgot to cancel it before they got charged.  Both of them got a refund because they cancelled before they used the membership.  So if you haven't used it yet you can still cancel it, then maybe get the 72 deal?
