Goals? Lose about 50 lbs, feel and look better/healthier.
How has your progress been this week? Not too bad, I still get snack attacks, but I have been making better food choices.
What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Using MFP, having a smoothie/shake in the morning, instead of a bagel. More water intake. Cooking more at home. I am not a gym person, so I feel getting a membership would be a waste of money, can't wait for better weather so I can walk around the lake again. I was thinking about doing yoga, anyone have any input about yoga?
Best part of your week? Finally got my hair cut yesterday, its been way too long!
Worst part of your week? I have Jury Duty today! I have a Dr. appointment on Friday that I cannot miss. I am worried I am going to be picked for a trial. The paper says a day or a trial. Do I say anything when I check in, or wait and see what happens?
QOTW: We all know about MFP, but are there any other great apps out there for fitness/diet/calorie tracking and/or motivation? I use mapmyrun when I go walking. It keeps track of how far I walked, and how many calories I burned.
@HoneyBee973 I did P90X for about a month, and yoga was part of their cardio workout. I enjoy yoga, and I want to find someplace to do it once DH and I move. I like that it is a good workout, but it isn't going to a gym and getting on a treadmill. I bought DVDs to do at home, but I don't have that much self motivation, so I never did them
How has your progress been this week? Pretty good! Working out 4 days per week, plus extra activity on weekend with DH (lately sand volleyball). I've also been pretty good about watching what I put into my body, even though I haven't been as consistent with MFP.
What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Eat clean and exercise at gym 4 days per week and extra "fun" activity on weekend or plyo.
Best part of your week? Getting back out on the sand volleyball court. H and I and some friends used to play weekly on a local rec league. When we moved out of town, it was something we really missed. Since we've moved back home, we're getting the old gang back together again. Season starts later this month!
Worst part of your week? I'm with @madeline10L... Even though I've been pretty consistent with diet and exercise, neither the scale or my waist measurement have moved much in the past couple of weeks. Super frustrating, but I keep reminding myself that the more muscle mass I can gain, the better my metabolism will get and then the weight will start to melt away.
QOTW: I like RunKeeper for GPS tracking of runs/bike rides/hikes/etc. At the gym, I've been using Jefit, which is pretty good, but I need to set up my workouts on there, so I don't have to search for my exercises every time I go.
Keep up the great work, ladies!
