An update (LR)

We had our follow-up with our RE today.

Physically it appears that my body is healing well from the m/c and d&c which is one good thing.

I mentioned briefly in a 3t check-in that baby had trisomy 4. We also know that baby was a girl (as I had strongly suspected) and we plan to choose a name for her.

Our RE said that the trisomy could be a fluke but that it's odd for someone my age (28) to have so many losses in a row. For the record both my H and I have had a normal karyotype (chromosome) test previously. So basically it could be something more complicated but it's difficult to know for sure.

Our options are as follows:
1) TTC on our own since we can conceive easily. Do progesterone, lovenox and early monitoring and hope to get lucky.
2. Pursue IVF with PGD. Dr. believes this would give us our highest chance of success. The cost is steep however and I'm unsure about the emotional toll that another pregnancy would have on me/us.
3. Pursue adoption, which we had previously planned on doing.

We are still leaning toward the adoption route but decided to take a few days to decompress and discuss more to be sure.

I do feel like I have some closure after this appt. I just never imagined that we would be here.

You are all wonderful. I haven't been posting as often as I would like b/c of mobile issues and no data/wifi access at work on my phone. Know that I think of you all often and am so appreciative of the support here.

Thanks @poppies717‌ . I was so onboard with adoption and then this most recent pregnancy threw me for a loop. I almost feel guilty for wavering. I do believe that we will eventually pursue adoption but we just need some time to process recent events. I might PM you later to talk in more detail.
