What are some DIY projects that you want to try soon?
my read shelf:
Re: QOTD 1/27
-paint/stencil 1/2 bath.
-Re-upholster a bench
- make a photo collage of our wedding pics for the living room wall. Question: how many pictures from one day is too AW?! Haha
Nothing planned.
I do want a table in my laundry room. My dad has been tasked with that. we have an extra cabinet from the builder messing up, just needs a top.
This is why I STILL haven't printed an actual album from our wedding. By the time I selected the ones I wanted, it was enough shots to fill 5 photo books @-) We have 3 large shots printed in our living room and I would fill the whole place with them if I could.

I also need to get photos uploaded to Shutterfly so I can put together my free photo book. Better get moving on that!
We need to finish our fireplace. H stripped the mantel, but didn't leave the stripper on long enough. He needs to do it again, but of course he did it on the last nice weekend. He may try to do it in the garage with the door cracked for air. Then we need to sand it and refinish it. The fireplace is brick, but like everything else in our house, the previous owner painted it. By paint, I mean he painted the bricks red and the grout lines gray. I want to put a mosaic tile over it and put a complimentary tile on the small hearth. I want to start buying supplies for that now.
We have a small 3 season room. There are 3 sliding doors to no where, for air. Under and above them are paneling. I want to pain the paneling white to brighten the space. On the floor I want to pull up the carpet and lay a laminate wood that matches our wood floors. We need to pull down the teak on the ceiling and put up white bead board. I want a ceiling fan with a light to move air out there. I want to get some comfy chairs and a small table to finish it off. I picture H and I sitting out there for breakfast on weekend mornings. That is our April project.
