  My son's 4th birthday is tomorrow. His party is on Saturday and I feel so unprepared! I have a ton of things to do for it and have no time. I swear that next year we are having it some place besides our house.

  My husband was approved for ordination as an elder in full connection by Virginia Board of Ordained Ministry for the United Methodist Church. It's been a long and sometimes frustrating process, and I am so exceedingly proud of him. The ceremony will be in June, and it's here in Roanoke which is even better because I and his congregation won't have to travel very far to see the ceremony.

  I've only been in the office for 2 hours and already the drama is non-stop.  Our internet/email at work has been messed up for the past month and people are getting cranky. I just don't want to hear about it anymore.

  I felt like an old maid tonight because we went to dinner with family. They wanted to meet at a restaurant at 7 pm and all I could think was "but it's a school night". Sigh. I'm not even a parent.
