WTFs go here.
my read shelf:
Re: WTF Wednesday
First wtf: Why must my two supervisory coworkers act like catty high schoolers? I bought a few cheap shirts for work (that way I don't feel as bad if they get destroyed by chemicals) Apparently the one made me look older. Let alone, if you're going to make fun of someone, at least have the decency to do so while they're not in the same room. I hid in my labcoat the rest of the day.
Second wtf: Our work parking lot is set up weird to begin with. Thanks to somebody deciding to park straight instead of angled, I had to wait and slowly creep out of the parking lot so I wouldn't hit anyone. I'm already a horrible driver. This didn't help.
Third wtf: Why did everybody crawl out of the woodwork to go shopping at Walmart today? Holy crap I have never seen this particular one packed before.
Final wtf and the icing on today's cake: so, after leaving walmart, I basically went on a joy ride through town to go to dairy queen to get an ice cream cake. (tons of traffic and construction today led to said joyride)
I get home, skillfully carry all the groceries into the house and am greeted with the fact that our power is out. I am now babysitting an ice cream cake and hoping it doesn't melt too badly.
I got you! I don't know what is wrong with people, it's really bothering me, since this case is 10 miles from my house. So scary. Maybe this is the wake up call these quacks needed... hopefully it's not at the expense of their sweet innocent babies. I've already told my parents if they take E out NO ONE is to touch her. I will tackle anyone trying to!
"I Don’t Vaccinate My Child Because It’s My Right To Decide What Eliminated Diseases Come Roaring Back"
http://www.theonion.com/articles/i-dont-vaccinate-my-child-because-its-my-right-to,37839/@mana8503 that is so scary and pisses me off.
I just had a convo with my mom about getting tested to see if she needed a Booster. She had leukaemia in 2005 and the treatment basically reset her immune system. She had the measles growing up, but she also had the chicken pox. She had a blood test and it said she didn't have the chicken pox. While finding out how to the the shoot (where the insurance will take it) she got the shingles. It's crazy. I don't want her or Eliza to get it.
@pengy16 - yea I know. But if a scare like this can persuade a few on the fence people, then good. My chiropractor was talking to a woman and still preaching her anti vax bs today. Some won't wake up until losing someone close to them.
She also poopoo me giving E tamiflu. She just let her kid fever it out. I'm sorry, big difference between a 4 year old and a 4 month old.
