Should I be worried?

H has gotten the crazy idea that he wants to take butcher classes. I'm ok with that.

Then he mentioned how cool it would be to turn the basement into a butchers workshop type place. I vetoed that idea real quick.

I'm just not sure if you become a crazy homicidal maniac after you build the workshop in the basement or if you build the workshop because you are a crazy homicidal maniac. Chicken vs egg, you know?

Re: Should I be worried?

  • Um no. Sorry no butchering in my house. If my husband wanted something like that at our house he'd need to get himself a shed as far away from the house as possible and NEVER leave the door open.

  • I'm pretty sure I would be against that, too. I'm also guessing the homicidal maniac comes before the basement butcher shop, but there are also zillions of non-homicidal butchers out there. Probably no need for concern. :)

  • My husband hunts for elk every year and does the butchering in the garage. I'm a "meat is murder" vegetarian. It's an issue at times.
