WBC: 2014 NY Times Notable Book

For this task, I read Redeployment by Phil Kay.  It's a book of short stories about soldiers and their experiences at war and when they come back home.  I've been thinking about it for days because it was kind of haunting and because I don't know how I feel about it. It was fascinating and I can see why it got so much press last year. I still haven't rated it yet because I'm just not sure how to rate it or if I should even rate it.

Has anyone else read this?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  • I am 50% through this right now.

It is part "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien and part "What It is Like to Go To War" by Karl Marlantes
