  • @brij2006 - I can't believe you are holding off on the cervical exam at 38 weeks! I would want to know if I was progressing! You are so good about being surprised!

  • @brij2006‌ - The bear sounds like an incredible keepsake for you and baby. I'm getting so excited for you to meet baby. I know it will in no way take away the pain of losing your brother, but I'm excited for you to be a mommy. (Sorry if that sounds like a creepy Internet stranger thing to say)

Technically I held off at 36-38, and will again tomorrow at 39 weeks.  Right now my brain can only handle and process what it needs to.  Thankfully the midwife has been amazing about this and understands that I'm on a "need to know" basis with everything that's going on.  When she asked at the last 2 appointments I told her that if it isn't needed information at this point then I'm not even going to allow it to enter my brain.  She agreed, and told me that we wouldn't do one this week either.
But she did say that at 40 weeks she has to check and mark it in my chart.  Which at that point she will also do a membrane sweep if I'm dilated enough.  I'm good with all of that though, since that will be on my due date.

Oh honey I'm sorry! I didn't realize you were holding off for that reason. You are such a strong person Brij!

It's okay, don't be sorry.  We're still going a day at a time at this point.
