Has anyone been to Puerto Rico? DH and I are planning on going next month for our "babymoon" but I'm having trouble picking a place to stay. I'm getting such conflicting reviews on Trip Advisor. I was hoping for some more personal experience.
Where did you stay? Would you stay there again?
Any must do activities?
Anything you did that you would pass on if going again?

Re: Puerto Rico
First was just for a few hours- a stop on my first cruise. I was with my family, and we did a lot of walking, but didn't really do anything memorable (it was almost 20 years ago).
H's family went a few years in a row, and i joined them on their last trip. That time, we stayed at the Caribe Hilton. I loved it. I'm sure it wasn't cheap, but I was kept out of that loop. Close to Old San Juan, so we were able to go check out a ton of awesome restaurants, the forts, etc. The hotel (as many do) had excursions you could go on (extra $) but awesome. We went zip lining in the rain forest, night kayaking in the bio bay, and H's sister & her friend took surfing lessons.
My third trip was in 2012. H's sister got married at El Conquistador. That's a crazy place. So beautiful. Again, not sure of the Financials, but holy cow. It's not so near OSJ but had is own perks (water park on site, private island with horse riding, hikes, etc etc etc). Its also walking distance to the bio bay excursion, and I'm sure it had the same list of other excursions available.
I think the bio bday would be almost anyones must see/do. There are only a few in the world, and it's spectacular.
