Re: FRIDAY CONFESSIONS

  • I have been slowly, over the course of the last few years, throwing away my husbands old hand me down clothes he received from his 52 year old brother. Who is about 6 inches taller and about 75 pounds heavier.

  • I am a paperwork hoarder.  I never know what to throw away. In every other area of my life, I am very good about culling unnecessary things. I seriously need to sit down and go through everything. Before having DS, I was so much better about this. Now, I just shove paperwork wherever.  I need a professional organizer to come help me.

Me too!!!!  I'm so bad with paperwork!

I was rear ended this morning.  The other driver got out of his car, said, "I have an emergency, I need to go to the hospital" then got back into his car without giving me any info.

So, I followed his ass & got his license plate.

When I called the police to report it, the officer reprimanded me for not calling 911 immediately.  Awesome.

  • Are you ok?

Yes!  Luckily the impact wasn't significant (and the girls weren't with me).  Damage appears to be limited to the plastic bumper cover (it is cracked & will need to be replaced).
  • I'm on day 6 of Whole30.  I'm feeling good, but I just can't wait for it to be over or for me to feel different.  Food shouldn't be this hard, but it is.

I felt that way last year when we went to the dietician. It was so much work. I obsessed over every single thing I put in my mouth. And I was constantly hungry or thinking about food.

We stopped following her advice. We just couldn't do it anymore.

  • Does anyone else experience your significant other acting like the information you're giving them is some giant surprise? Even though you stood or sat together and made eye contact and came to an agreed upon conclusion to said information or news?
I find this happening frequently and I can't tell if I should be angry because it's really getting annoying or if I am really just going crazy and imagined these things occuring.
  • @GreenBride624 Did he really go to the hospital? Was it really an emergency? I'm always skeptical with people like that at the scene of an accident.

We do it to each other. There are things I KNOW that I've told him which he insists I never said. I can recite the whole damn conversation but i'm the one who's wrong.

As for me, if someone calls me at work and tells me something not work related when i'm in the zone, it passes right through my mind.

    Both cause arguments.

Same here. I am usually the one guilty of this more often though. He likes to vent about work to me, which I don't mind, but don't find especially interesting either. A lot of times I am distracted with DS or the dog and he is telling me stuff and it just doesn't stick.

@MrsC7 I followed him to the hospital campus but lost him there (huge hospital, lots of parking areas, people walking, etc...).

So, I have no idea if there was truly an emergency.  When I lost him, I went to the emergency parking lot but didn't see his car.  I already had his license & car type so I just left at that point.

I've had full on conversations in my head that I swear happened IRL but never did.
