Starting this early this morning....
We're doing a major layoff at work today so sleep wasn't happening. I think I'm safe, but my company has been known to say you're safe and then call you in individually and let you go. It's going to be a rough one.
Hitting up the outlets with my mom tonight for some shower gft exchanges and to pick up some postpartum stuff for me (comfy pjs, cheap underwear, etc.) and then hanging out with her all night.
The rest of the weekend is baby laundry and organization and refusing to leave the house because the highs are in the single digits with wind chills in the -20s. Too freaking cold to go outside.
Anyone else got anything good??
Re: TGIF
Relaxing tonight and hopefully sleeping in tomorrow. Heading to Whole Foods to get the makings for dinner Saturday night when Mr comes home. Sunday cleaning the house and hopefully putting up the curtains in the nursery.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!
I hope they keep their word!
We have my cousins bday family party tonight. And I plan on doing nothing else all weekend since I go back to work Monday
Today is my LAST day of work! WHAT!? I had my OB appt yesterday and she did an impromptu ultrasound to check the heart instead of using the doppler so we saw our little girl still head down and lowering. That made me feel better about today being my last day.
Tomorrow we have no plans for V Day... maybe cooking dinner and a movie. We never really celebrate besides getting a card and eating chocolate.
Sunday we should be going to pick out a reclining glider chair and pick up our crib! Yay!

Made it through layoffs but as a project manager I got to escort a bunch of people through the office to pack up their things. Not fun at 8 months preggo. Stepped out now to force feed as I'm feeling pretty nauseous about the whole thing. One lady had been with us for 5 years and another guy told me this morning that his wife is pregnant. Ugh today sucks. And there's talk of another one next week.
Tonight- DH is doing a ride along with on of our friends. I will probably run errands and start to make a list of things I want to register for/plan the nursery.
Tomorrow- haircut in the morning. We will either go to a low key restaurant tomorrow night or I will make dinner (we aren't big valentines people).
Sunday- Relaxing/getting ready for the week ahead. Maybe go to bru to test out baby stuff.

@brij2006 - My heart breaks for you and your family... I am so sorry you have to have that talk. Take care of yourself.
