Do you ever celebrate anniversaries other than wedding like dating, engagement, etc?

Re: QOTD 2/18

  • We celebrated our engagement anniversary while we were engaged (since it was like 16 or 17 months long).  But, we haven't done that since and don't plan on celebrating anything other than our wedding anniversary.

  • Not anymore.  We used to celebrate our dating anniversary before we got married, and sometimes we try to plan something for our engagement anniversary.  Our dating anniversary is just after Christmas so it is usually too busy to plan something now. I had hoped to plan something for the anniversary that just passed, since it was our 6 year (or, 1/4 of my life!!)
, but we got too busy.

However, our engagement anniversary is in the summer and we try to go back to the place we got engaged each year.

  • We mention our engagiversary when it happens, don't do anything for it.

Our dating and wedding anniversaries are only 4 days apart so they are usually a joint celebration.

  • We try to recreate our first date by going to the dinner we went to.  We forgot this year, I was 9 months pregnant.  We mentioned our engagement since it was this past Sunday.

  • We did celebrate dating up until we got married. We celebrated that first year we were married too, a month and a half after the wedding. Now we just acknowledge the dates, but we don't celebrate.

  • Not since we got married.  We acknowledge our dating anniversary every year, but we don't go to the restaurant anymore, like we used to.  I want to go to the spot where we were engaged every year on our engagement anniversary, but it happened in November and it's usually too cold to walk outside.
  • We acknowledge our dating anniversary but don't celebrate. And our engagement anniversary is literally a week before our wedding anniversary - we were engaged almost exactly one year - so there's no point.

We only celebrate the wedding one, I completely forget the others!  We got engaged January 14, that's so close to the holidays that I'm exhausted by that point.  Our first date was February 12, which is super close to Valentine's Day, plus DH's bday is Feb 28, so that's a lot for that month.
