Getting Healthy Check-In

I didn't see a new thread for this yesterday so I hope it isn't a big deal that I start one for this week.

This check-in is for anyone interested in “getting healthy”, whether it’s losing weight, toning up, or just establishing healthier habits. Everyone is always welcome!

Goals?

How has your progress been this week?

What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?

Best part of your week?

Worst part of your week?

QOTW: What is your LEAST favorite exercise?

Re: Getting Healthy Check-In

  • Goals?

I'm starting with 20 pounds and going from there.

How has your progress been this week?

Down 3 I think!  I didn't weigh myself the day after my doctor's appointment and then there was a 5 pound difference between their scales and mine in 2 days.  Part of that is being weighed with clothes and without, and then add in I was on my period so most of that was probably bloat/clothes.

What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?

I'm counting calories and trying to eat more real food and less processed food.  I'm focusing on calories more because let's be real, I can't go the rest of my life without a Cool Ranch Dorito or a cookie made with white sugar.

    Best part of your week?

I've felt better the last several days, I haven't been waking up as groggy and I haven't been as cranky at work.  I think part of this is the Vitamin D supplement but it could be all in my head.

Worst part of your week? Food is everywhere!  The management team ordered in pizza for everyone today because of the weather and tomorrow a client is bringing in a Baked Potato Bar for lunch.  I'm focusing on making better choices so I'm pretty proud of myself for only eating one piece of pizza.

QOTW: What is your LEAST favorite exercise? Running.  Running hurts everything and I get this nasty phlem in my check that makes me feel like I'm dying.

  • Goals? Feel and look better and be healthier.

How has your progress been this week? Sticking to Weight Watchers!

What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Weight Watchers online.

Best part of your week?  My birthday is next week and yesterday I got a parcel from my nieces with a bunch of new artwork :)

Worst part of your week? It's so effing cold.

QOTW: What is your LEAST favorite exercise? Can I say all of them? I used to love running; I really like walking, but the sidewalks are all too treacherous these days.

  • @AprilZ81 - Thank you for posting! I usually try to post on Tuesday's, but it's been a bit of a crazy week!

    Goals?
Lose 10-15 lbs, fit better in clothes.

How has your progress been this week?  I've continued with the 430AM wake-up to make it to the gym in time before work. Some mornings are harder than others, but I can definitely tell a difference with my energy during the day. Haven't been super great with MFP this past week though.

What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?
Gym 4 days per week, sand volleyball 1 day per week, extra "active" outdoor day (hiking, run, etc.); clean eating and MFP.

    Best part of your week?
Sadly, nothing big really sticks out. DH started a new job this week to help us pay off debt and get ready for round 2, so that is exciting, I guess. :)

Worst part of your week? *LR... again... sorry... I've been having a harder time these past couple of days as our EDD is fast approaching (and I'm surrounded by 4 other pregnant people at work). On Sunday night, after DH had already fallen asleep, I was trying to think of what we can do on what should have been Lincoln's birthday. This spiraled into a major cry-fest, as I realized that instead of laying in bed thinking about that, we should be getting ready to bring our baby home and stressing out about all the little things we still needed to get done. Sigh...

QOTW: Running... I find it terribly boring unless I'm able to run outdoors.
