Happy Friday!

What are you reading? Is it for one of the challenges? Just for fun, what dessert do you prefer for your birthday?

Re: Happy Friday!

  • I am doing a reread of HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban.  I am also trying to finish the Pretty Little Liars series.  I'm on the second last one right now. They will be for WBC if I can fit them in somewhere.

My favorite dessert for my birthday would probably be cheesecake.  My mom makes the best cheesecakes and always makes me a different flavor every year.

  • An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. For my 50 for the year. cookie dough brownies or red velvet cake.

  • I'm reading "The Witch of Painted Sorrows" by MJ Rose.  It's #12 for the year and is also for WBC.

For my birthday, I prefer coconut cream pie or boston cream pie.  I suck at making boston cream pie so I haven't had it since I moved to the midwest.

I am slowly making my way through The King's Curse. It's not bad, but I'm just a little unmotivated here lately.

Oops, forgot the birthday question. Um, I love cheesecake but that's not something I get often unless I'm out. DH can't really cook. I asked for a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cake one year because I always wanted one as a kid (my birthday is in December), but it wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be. Alas.

  • I'm reading Grave Secrets by Kathy Reichs and The Girl with all the Gifts.  I'm am about to start listening to I'll Give You the Sun.  All of them are for WBC and are #16-18 for the year.

For my birthday, it's got to be carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!

  • I just finished Dirty Magic, which I liked. It was around 40 for the year. I haven't picked up anything else yet.

I had a cookie cake last year and it was my favorite!

  • I'm reading Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman and listening to Wool by Hugh Howey. Both are good.

Anyone else read Trigger Warning yet? My favorite stories so far are Orange, and though I've already read/listened to it, The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountains.

I love Nothing Bundt Cakes red velvet cake for my birthday. Or anytime really. My husband doesn't like cake though, so it doesn't occur to him that anyone else would like cake for their birthdays. I usually end up having it for other occasions instead.

  • I'm reading Bloodlines and Haiku Mind for a reading challenge I'm doing with my mom group and listening to Drums of Autumn.

My birthday is right around Thanksgiving so I love pumpkin pie for my birthday. I prefer pie over cake.
