It's slippery as waterweed.

Re: FRIDAY CONFESSIONS

  • My dog is at the groomer and DS is at daycare. I have the house all to myself today! Woohoo! Sadly, I need to clean and gather up tax paperwork. I will probably try to sneak in some Netflix though.

  • Do you think we'll hit the snowiest winter on record? We've got another month of potential snow and another 9 point something inches needed, right?

  • In Maine we are looking at the coldest February in recorded history, records go back to 1941.

This is the harbor of the island I grew up on and where my parents still live.  The harbor does not freeze like this very often.

  • The executive director is out back plowing our parking lot. Mind you, it's been 4 days since the snow fell and it's now compacted ice thanks to negative temperatures, but he thinks he's helping. To the rest of us he's "helping" like a toddler helps mommy cook. Now instead of drifts of frozen snow its a spread out and compacted layer of ice. Whee!

Oh, and PS he broke the plow on Tuesday because he was trying to plow the sidewalk and broke a hose. Not that he admits that he broke it, mind you. He tells everyone it broke but leaves out the little detail that he was the one who broke it with his enthusiasm.

It's bad form to pat your boss on the head like a child, right?

  • It is warm and beautiful here. Which I love. We are able to get in bike rides every weekend, eat outdoors, lay out by the pool and read. It's heaven, really. I joke with friends back East.

Until I think about how we are in a very very very serious drought.  The cold and snow in the East and middle of the country, and our drought, is scaring the bajeezus out of  me.

  • I wonder why Boston can't ship their snow to you rather than dumping it in the ocean. Melt it, purify it and should be good to go, right? That way, it still gets cleared but another part of the country could be helped a little.

That would be in interesting solution, for sure. I bet all of us would be happy with that arrangement!

  • Sooo. I hardly ever wore dresses because I could never find the right fit. Being bottom heavy and wanting sleeves I could never find everything I wanted in one dress. I am completely addicted to eShakti.com. I have now ordered six dresses and I am wearing them all the time. They are all adorable. They all come with pockets. And you can customize with your measurements for $7.50 more. They also all have these little snaps inside the shoulders to hold your bra straps in place. It's an addiction.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

YES! I only own one dress with them but it's sooo handy!
  • @skeezon Not to be creepy, but I'd LOVE to see how they fit.  I've wanted to order from them but I've wanted to see their clothes in real life.
