  • Pregnant Girls:

How many weeks: 31w1d - single digit weeks left!!

How are you feeling? Meh.  I went ahead and got the script from my doc for anxiety and depression.  I haven't picked it up yet though.  I'm having a hard time coming to terms with taking it.  I just hope it does a good job and I don't have to try several different ones until I find one that works.

Rants/Thoughts/Bump pics? No bump pic this week.
Rant - If you all remember, I vented about my mom wanting me to help with the shower.  First off, I've been having to ring her in a lot because she wants to go all out and over the top with everything.  She keeps adding all these things and the shower is this weekend.  It's getting out of control and it's stressing me out.  On top of all that, yesterday morning while she was getting ready for work, she threw her back out.  I feel terrible for her since she's in pain, and I'm hoping she'll just feel better by this weekend, but guess who's going to be stuck with setting up their own shower.  The one thing I was dead set against from the very beginning and now it's happening.  Luckily, she started working on getting some of the decor up last week, so H says to just leave it the way it is and not worry about putting anything else up.  I'm leaning towards doing just that, but if I know my mom well enough, she will try to do it all and end up hurting herself even more.

With all that going on, work has been super stressful, we're two months behind on the house which means we won't be moving in until October instead of August now, and my anxiety is threw the roof.  I'm getting really stressed about how everything is going to work logistically at my parents house with a new baby, especially since we're now going to be there longer.  I just want to crawl into bed and cry.

Sorry to be such a downer.

  • I'm sorry @mrshall1027.  I'd agree with your H and just leave it as is, your priority has to be your mental health and well being right now.  Could you have someone make sure your mom doesn't over-do it with her back?  That's a tough one.  As far as your rx goes, I took prozac before and it did wonders for my anxiety, I didn't feel weird or anything, just like myself but a less anxious version of me. I hope that your meds work for you and help you feel better!  Try to remember to take a breath and be good to yourself, you are growing another human and that's big work!  Even if you laid in bed and did nothing, your body is doing amazing things right now.  I'll pray for you to find some peace of mind. *hugs*

How old are your LOs (Little Ones)? 9.5+ months

How do you feel? same, same

Any Milestones this week? We are sooooo close to tooth number 5! I can feel it in there just about to break through!

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics? I love that he loves to eat, but good grief, I still need him to nurse if possible, too. On Sunday, he barely nursed at all, only when he woke up (3 times overnight) and in the morning and before nap. I was so engorged by dinner time I had to pump. I pumped almost 10 ounces! I'm hoping he is just not nursing as much because his teeth are bothering him. Or, if this is the new norm, my body needs to get on board, quick!

How old are your LO's? 12.5 months!

    How do you feel? Fine

Any Milestones this week? He FINALLY is saying "Mama" consistently. He also says "Dada", "Nonna", "This", and "Uh Oh". I think he is working on tooth #6. Still nursing 4-5 times a day. I quit pumping at work about a month ago and he is not weaning at all. I'm happy with that. He gets a few ounces of cows milk per day.

Rants/Thoughts/Baby Pics? Pic from his hungry caterpillar party when I can get it to load
  • TTCers:

    Cycle/Month: 6 or 7 (some months NTNP/some actively trying)

    CD/DPO: CD28

    W2O or 2WW? I assume 2WW

Testing plans: maybe this weekend if no AF. Longest cycle since AF came back was 34 days and shortest was 24 days. Last three were 28/28/29 so I figure if I go past 29, I'm ok to test.

Chart stalks/rants/Thoughts: Back to this. It sucks. DH still having big fertility issues last we knew. Last semen analysis was 4/2014. It was crappy. Don't know how much hope to put into ttc without help except Caleb was conceived with only minimal help. Anything could happen I guess.

    How do you feel? blech.

Any Milestones this week?  I heard a real honest laugh this weekend.  It was adorable.  I can't wait until it happens on a regular basis.

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics?  He started Zantac last week.  It is working wonders.  He occasionally was projectile spitting up.  Last week he did it two days in a row so his doctor thought it was time to try Zantac.  He has a weight check in a week and she wants to evaluate how his reflux is doing.
edit: He's had a cold for a week.  No fever, but I think it's time to contact his doctor about it.  It doesn't have him down at all, but he gets really stuffy at night and has a hard time sleeping.  Everything online says to wait 10-14 days, but I hate seeing him sick at night.

How do you feel? I'm ready for the random spotting to stop. I never stopped bleeding/spotting before I had the IUD put in a couple of weeks ago (8 weeks pp) and since then I'm still getting random spotting.

Any Milestones this week? He is trying to laugh. He coos and grins and then makes noises like he wants to laugh. He is alert more during the day.

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics? He started daycare last week. He was fine the first few days (he was still taking multiple naps and eating 3-4 hours) but since then he isn't sleeping at daycare and wants to eat every two hours. They have me send in 4 bottles but I can only produce enough for 3. I'm currently only pumping 2 times at work but either I have to add another session at work or pump at home to keep up. The thing is that he doesn't get to the third bottle most days but they rather be safe in case he needs the extra bottle.

  • @mrshall1027 I also agree that you should leave the house decorated with whatever your mother has done already.  No one is going to judge if your house isn't fully transformed into your theme.  The most important thing is celebrating you and your baby.  Don't stress over the house not being ready.  There isn't much that you can do about it.  We were supposed to move into our house in mid-late August.  We moved on November 1.  It was rough living in such a tight space for 3 months, but we made it work and you will too.  It was difficult to keep organized and my vision of how I wanted to bring O home wasn't bringing her into our disorganized apartment, but it was what we had to do.  Just use the essential for Aria and things will be fine.  I literally had to climb over the cradle and swing to get in/out of bed.  Things will work out, I promise.

    Mommies:

How old are your LOs (Little Ones)?  7 months on Sunday.  I cannot believe my baby is getting so big!

How do you feel?  I feel good.  I did something stupid a little while ago and hurt my toe, but no other complaints.

Any Milestones this week?  She is sitting up like an old pro.  She definitely trying to crawl.  She goes into downward dog, then propels herself forward.  I am so not ready for her to be mobile.  So far, the only foods she likes are bananas and sweet potatoes.  The last serving of carrots that we gave her she liked, so we might give her some again in a few days.  I am also going to try apples again.  I think she might not like apples because it was the first food she tried.

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics?  I want to start temping again (TTA), but I keep forgetting to take out my thermometer.  I'm not sure where it is in my night stand so I know I will move too much in the morning to find it.
  • TTCers:

    Cycle/Month: 12/13

    CD/DPO:  CD 23

    W2O or 2WW? I assume 2WW

Testing plans:  waiting for AF this week, and likely testing early next week

Chart stalks/rants/Thoughts:  When we got married we said we wanted to wait 4 years before TTC.  If I were to get pregnant this cycle the EDD would be in November.  So if this cycle and the next are misses then it looks like we might be waiting until 2016 after all.  It's  disappointing to think that but I'm trying to stay positive.  I am choosing to believe everything happens for a reason, including not getting pregnant when I wanted.

  • Thanks @ramstein1027 and @sjs1013. :)

I told my mom yesterday that I'm basically done with doing anything else for the shower and she didn't put up a fight, which made me feel much better.  I still need to get the food but that shouldn't be too hard since we are doing a build your own sandwich bar.  I'm hoping to take Friday off to relax, spend time with my cousin that's coming in town (he always makes me laugh and feel better, so I'm excited to see him!) and get the house cleaned up for the party on Saturday.  I'm also hoping to go get a mani pedi in the next couple of days, so maybe that will relax me too.

I feel bad for getting so upset about this, but there are so many other things going on right now.  It's like all the little things pile up and make it difficult to not get overwhelmed.  I'm trying to relax and not stress as much as possible and just telling myself that everything will be ok.  There are much worse things that could be happening and I need to appreciate the good that's around me instead of focusing on the bad.

How old are your LOs (Little Ones)? 5 months

How do you feel? Tired. I think she's experiencing a growth spurt or something because she's not sleeping well & wants to eat several times throughout the night. Whatever it is, I hope it's over soon!

Any Milestones this week? She's sitting up for longer periods & we started bananas on Sunday. She liked them a lot better than avocado! I'm thinking we'll do sweet potatoes next.

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics? Stupid phone won't let me upload anything. Grr!
