Re: Happy Friday!

  • I'm listening to The Martian and I'm totally wrapped up in it. I didn't expect the humor.

  • I am reading An Echo In The Bone (Outlander #7)

Our F*ing taxes are filed and the government has taken our money.

  • Finally back to Dream Thieves.

Haven't filed yet, but our taxes are pretty easy this year.

Just finished The Nightingale. Now I'm in a book coma and don't want to read anything else.

  • I just finished Verum (Nocte #2) by Courtney Cole. I loved it and can't wait for the final book.

We have filed our taxes. I feel like we have been violated. We sold our rental house this year. Capital gains taxes are no joke. So glad we didn't touch the little bit of money we made off of it.

  • I'm reading Dead Heat, it's good so far but I've been in a reading funk.

I'm also listening to the Mime Order, which is great but I haven't been in the mood to listen to it.

  • I'm reading Lover Avenged (BDB#7). I can't wait to finish and see how it ends! I should finish this weekend.

We filed our taxes this past weekend. Hooray for having a baby this year. The first time we have gotten a refund as a married couple!

  • I finished The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah yesterday and is AMAZING. Everyone must read it!

I am torn on what to start next.

Taxes have been filed, refund received and spent. Friggin American Express.

This series is on my TBR list! I am glad you liked it!

I am reading Deadly Spells, third in the Prospero's War series. I like it so far. I think it is around 45 for the year.

We just received the last of our paperwork, so taxes are on the agenda for the weekend.

  • I'm reading Iced (Fever #6) and I'm not loving it.  I wasn't a big Dani fan so this is really hard for me to get through.  I want to get it over with to move on to Iced (Fever #7).  I feel like I have to read it in case I miss something for the next book.  It's # 20 for the year.

  • I'm reading:
My Name is Memory - Ann Brashares
Reign of Error - Diane Ravitch
    Listening to:
The Witness Wore Red: The 19th Wife Who Brought Polygamous Cult Leaders to Justice - Rebecca Musser & M. Bridget Cook

I'm enjoying all of them thus far.  I'm fascinated by LDS and Scientology so I'll read about anything having to do with it.

I haven't filed my taxes yet either.  I'm totally putting it off.

  • I'm reading Cassandra Clare's The Bane Chronicles. I've finished one of the stories so far.

Our taxes are with our accountant (they're complicated because DH is considered self employed even though he works for the church, and also we have to pay quarterly taxes because they haven't figured out how to do withholding on his check). Still waiting to hear what the damage will be this year.

I'm listening to The Martian (love!) and reading The Girl on the Train. Just when I was about to give up on GotT because I don't like books with narrators I wouldn't like to hang out with, it got interesting. It's well written, but definitely has more of a watching a train wreck appeal than a warm fuzzy appeal. I usually prefer the latter.

Taxes, blech, don't even talk to me about taxes for a few weeks. I'm usually super prepared, but I haven't gotten going yet this year.

  • I'm reading Dance Upon the Air by Nora Roberts and enjoying it.  It is balancing the reading I have to do for grad school nicely.

I am on the last disc of The Girl on the Train and it is so good!  I figured out the whodunnit pretty early in the story but it has still held my interest.

DH meets with our accountant tomorrow.  Our taxes are going to be a mess this year- DH quit his job, did contract work, started a small business, and we sold our rental house- can't even begin to imagine what we will owe.

I think I'm about 7 hours in. I don't want to reference events so I don't spoil anyone.

I think I'm three-ish hours ahead of you.  I'm somewhere in Chapter 14.
