Moving and House Update

So. Moving went smoothly. Got everything into my dad's house for storage and into my in laws that we need right now. It's going.

We are putting an offer in on the house I showed you guys the link to, after getting the drama settled. Cliffnotes version: We loved it, wanted to put in offer in, made the mistake of telling MIL about it and she talked Tyler out of it. He finally came to his senses. It's been interesting.

Hopefully I still have some sanity when I leave.

Good luck on the house. I know P waits to tell his parents about stuff like that until after. He didn't even tell his parents we bought a place until the contract was almost final and we were a few days out from moving.

I have no idea. There's nothing majorly wrong (that we can do, obviously we will do an inspection). I think she just wants to keep us at her house for as long as possible. she thinks we are jumping on the first house we see and we won't be happy.

The place we ended up buying is one of the first that we looked at with our relator. I loved it. P was meh about it. But it was one of the best we ever ended up looking at for the price. I'm super happy we bought it. We also knew buying it that it won't be our forever home. We only plan to stay here for 5-10 years. We are hoping to keep it and rent it out. But we will see what our funds are like at that time. Basically once I go back to work and we have more income we will be looking for a house instead of a townhome and with the prices in Denver we need two incomes to buy a house. My point is that if you do end up buying it and aren't happy, you aren't locked into living there your whole life.

Our parents talked us out of a lot, so I know the feeling. It probably has something to do with her wanting you to be there longer, or not make a mistake. I'm glad to hear that everything else is going well otherwise!
