Any progress on your goals?
We have our house back! We got everything put away and dusted. We even vacuumed the air ducts for our HVAC. Everything in the house feels so much cleaner and more settled!
What are your favorite Easter traditions?
the weekend was good. spending wise...good!
Any progress on your goals?
none. We have decided that the windows on our house need to be replaced (they get all condensated all winter, We put plastic films over them this winter, but I've still been wiping-up puddles. even if we have to finance part of it, I think it needs to be done this year or we continue to risk doing damage to the house (rot from moisture). I'm pricing out windows today to get an idea of the scope of the project, we'll tie it in with out basement renovation and take advantage of the pro-discount on materials.
What are your favorite Easter traditions?
1. $15 Dinner $60 Petsmart grooming, $47 gas for both cars, $47 Kohls, Free movie but $20 popcorn/soda. All paid in cash
2. 3 more condo showings! Getting paid this week, should be banking some $ later in the week
3. We don't really have any Easter traditions, but I still like getting Easter baskets! Oh and we go to my parents every year for dinner
2. Nothing this week. This was the paycheck that goes straight to Wells Fargo Mortgage.
3. We've realized the last two years we unintentionally planned vacations around Easter, which as been interesting. The first we were in Austrialia where it's a big deal. Everything was closed on Good Friday. Everything. We found one place to get food, and they said even though it's not a particularly religious country, Easter is bigger than Christmas there. Last year, we were in Morroco, a primarily Muslim country, which was interesting in the opposite way! We're here this year, but while we go to a Methodist church, it's not a holiday we personally celebrate.

Any progress on your goals? DH is starting to contribute to monthly savings now too- his paycheck was mostly going to day care and monthly credit card stuff (always paid in full!), but he's had excess $ in his account the last few months so $250/paycheck will go to savings. Between the 2 of us, that'll be at least $1,500/month to help fund Roth, 529 plans, and home improvement stuff this summer.
What are your favorite Easter traditions? We took the girls to an egg hunt at the Botanical Gardens last year and have tickets for this year- hoping to be a tradition for a few years (while they're little anyway).
How was your weekend?
Saturday: $45 at CVS, $65 groceries
Sunday: $75 at Cabela's and $25 for gas
Any progress on your goals?
Put extra $$ in the 'baby' account. Had our first IUI today. I so wanted to go shopping this weekend, but put the money in our 'baby' account to see if it worked first.
What are your favorite Easter traditions?
Breakfast by my parents house, followed by a lot of relaxing and laziness, till we are ready to eat lunch/dinner. Love spending the whole day together, catching up etc
Any progress on your goals? 1k towards my fall semester! 2k to go! Should be done on May 1st.

Any progress on your goals?
Well we did need a car and we got a good deal on a used one so I guess technically that's progress...?
What are your favorite Easter traditions?
We don't really do much for Easter. Neither of us are religious but we do usually get together with family for dinner so that is probably what we will do.
Any progress on your goals? Eh, a while ago we increased the monthly payment towards H's car loan, however we still need to file our taxes, start H's 401k at his new job, increase payments on student loans...so not really.
What are your favorite Easter traditions? Our family keeps to Polish traditions, so we do 8am mass, then the Swieconka brunch after, which we're on year 2 of hosting! We have all the aunts, uncles, cousins over and eat way too much food. It's a lot of work but a lot of fun!
Also, hi to all of you! I've been lurking here for a while, and have learned so much already. Figured I'd start to join in!
Yes, forgot to mention the Swieconka as well. I am Polish also, came here when I was about 10 years old.
Miss the days of making paczki with my grandma!
Any progress on your goals? Not this week. DH started a new job at the beginning of the month, and is supposed to get paid on Thursday. I am hoarding cash until the first paycheck comes in because I get nervous that there will be an issue with payroll or something. He is also supposed to be getting paid out for his accrued/unused vacation time for his last job, but I'm not counting that until it gets here! It will all go to debt.
What are your favorite Easter traditions? Doing an Easter egg hunt with DD1 when she wakes up on Easter. We fill plastic eggs with candy and coins and hide them around. DD2 was born about 3 days before Easter last year, so she may be able to scoot around and find some eggs this year
Any progress on your goals? I have an interview tomorrow and I had to buy a new suit and pay to get the sleeves of the jacket shortened. If I get the job it will be a $12,000 a year pay raise. I applied for unemployment and there is a one week waiting period for benefits to kick in. With the exception of job hunting expenses (new suit, alterations, etc.) my paychecks for this month and my severance will be put into savings. We are operating in a pseudo emergency mode until I get a job. We are continuing to finish work on the bar DH is building in the basement. We are scaling back the types of materials we are using but there is no reason to stop work when it is so close to being finished. Otherwise goals are on hold.
What are your favorite Easter traditions? Growing up we always went to Sunrise Service, our church had a hot breakfast in the fellowship hall then all the kids would play until Sunday School started, then regular church and then we would go home to hunt eggs and have an Easter dinner. DH and I rotate Easter between our families and none of the churches they attend have a sunrise service and we are too old to hunt eggs now.
Any progress on your goals? Not really. We're still waiting to hear back on our front porch estimate. Everything else remains the same.
What are your favorite Easter traditions? My mom has always planned a pretty elaborate Easter Egg hunt for us kids, and now that we are all grown, we get together at her house to put it on for my niece. She's the only child in the family for the foreseeable future, so she gets majorly spoiled at every holiday.

What are your favorite Easter traditions?
Ouch. My wallet is still crying. H had been out of town for the previous two weeks and I challenged myself to not go to the grocery store for anything other than fruit and vegetables while he was gone. So for our first shopping trip, we spent $120 and another $100 on household goods (laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, deodorant, paper towels, etc.). $22 on lunch before we went shopping. $100 on new Bluetooth earbuds for H.
Any progress on your goals?
$200 to SL, $300 in our moving money account, $30 in the Disney vacation account.
What are your favorite Easter traditions?
When I was little, we used to hunt for eggs. Each cousin had his/her own color of the plastic eggs and they were all filled with dollar bills, candy, and lottery tickets. Now, we don't do anything at all. Well, H usually works and it's just another Sunday to me.
Any progress on your goals? Not yet, need to schedule my credit card payments. I may just wait until my next statement comes in.
What are your favorite Easter traditions? Dying eggs and making up the Easter baskets. MW and I tend to be opposite of a lot of people, we skip mass on Easter and Christmas since we don't like being in large, crowded situations.
